R U Screwed on my Season Ticket Order

Actually we do care . Why ?
This year was my breaking point for 3 reasons:
1) A terrible September home schedule (the only game worth attending, Iowa, we'll lose)
2) No strategy what-so-ever from the top down in the football program for NIL in year 4
3) No takers for my tickets (struggle to even give them away) and alot of competing/better stuff to do on beautiful early fall days where I now live in Sparta, NJ

Also the disappointment of last year is casting a shadow. Easiest schedule we'll ever have combined with alot of returning players and you know how that all ended.

Oh, so will they take it out later on? I don’t have time to chase them today, but it would be great if this is the case.
Donation went on my card at the same time as a separate transaction. I was concerned last year because I thought I had screwed up and missed it. Easy to forget about though since I never got a separate email receipt for the donation. Kind of obnoxious of RU to not acknowledge the (mandatory non deductible) gift via email.

I haven't renewed yet -- just not able to, but will at some point. I seriously doubt that my tickets will be unavailable. I get emalis from Tyler (my rep); I'll call him to work out a plan but just had some other stuff come up.

My youngest son has been going with me and really enjoys it so I can't see myself not renewing at this point even though there are a lot of games I either can't make or have to go through hoops to be able to go.

Fair enough and you are entitled whatever you want.
I still have season tickets but eat some games Covid got us in the habit of watching games in other places and not killing the whole day .
Winning cures all though . We haven’t won

Exactly. I’ll happily come back if winning starts

OP - Put your finger in a glass of water then pull it out quickly. If it leaves a finger sized hole they will miss you, otherwise no one cares 😉

RU athletics probably has a poster on the wall with that expression.

This X1000. One of the top reasons why most everyone who bought tickets years ago and kept buying them was because many games weren't on TV. For many of us it became an unbreakable tradition. For many people it became a lot work and a grind. Then the pandemic broke the tradition and showed how much fun stuff we can still catch the game on giant TVs in our homes or your favorite bars.
I cut back on going to all Rutgers games. I haven't been to Saratoga since 2019, been to one Haskell. Haven't been to a NY Yankees game since 4/3/2019 when they set a team record by striking out 18 times. The pandemic and that miserable ended a 44 year streak of being at YS at least once a year.
I've never been more relaxed in my life!

Jack was my rep until a few weeks ago and now it’s Alyssa. Jack was good. Alyssa helped me out this week so it’s off to a good start.

I renewed last month but got an email today from my rep (Jack) that his last day is tomorrow. I wished him well and he responded right back. Working hard up to the last day. He was always like that and will be missed.

Jack was good. He was my rep for a number of years and was always responsive / helpful for my basketball and football tickets and requests.

So of course I lost him and they immediately screwed up this year. My brother called in to renew his tickets (under his account) with his CC info….and they proceed to process a renewal of my tickets (under my account) with his CC.

I discontinued my season tickets this year after 17 years. Just decided "I'm out" (for alot of reasons, which I won't get into b/c, who cares?)

...But what surprised me most -- I didn't even get a call. No 23rd hour appeal. No email. Nobody gives a single f.

Not complaining; just saying it plainly.
This is more important than Rutgers wiping their asses with the thousands of the game day experience complaints from their paying customers. But between the two, it shows how much Rutgers administrators cares about their paying customers and their money.

With football
I have suggested before that fans with a long history and priority points that are not happy now,
just get one season ticket in the end zone, cheapest available, no parking pass, just the one ticket

Figure it a donation to the school
You keep your priority, if in the future you get swept up again

Renewed my season tickets yesterday. Payment authorized by my bank, returned by the vendor for some reason. Got a confirmation but it shows 0 for my donation amount. Followed up with bank. Reached out to Rutgers yesterday. Got voicemail. Left a message. Waiting for their response.
Over the past couple of seasons I have renewed both basketball and football on the phone with my rep
They process the payment while on the phone with the rep

I'd do that -- except I have no reason to believe i'll be swept up again. The dynamics look pretty much permanently cemented

Fair enough
Never checked on what it costs before
Appears to be $238 plus a required $100 donation bringing it up to $338
A bit more than I hoped, due to the required donation but certainly doable

For me, hope springs eternal
We eventually might have a breakthrough year when not expected before hand

Do that all the time and they've always been very helpful. It may be old school but talking to real people rather than emails or ai seems to still work well. Don't be afraid it won't hurt.

Winning does cure all.
We saw a glimmer of hope last season despite leaving some “should have wons” on the table. { Illinois , Kansas St., UCLA}. With a much improved Offense returning and the Defense being bolstered by the Portal we should as many wins if not more this season despite the difficult schedule.

I gave up my season tickets 2 years ago and have been going game by game.

I live 2 hours away and work every other weekend. So it was becoming a problem trying to get time off for game days or switching my schedule around. So I go through SeatGeek when I do go. I still got a call from a ticket rep, Hannah, to see if they could get me on board.
