Here is what Coach Pikiell said when asked why he did not start Corey Sanders:
“I am really trying to raise our standards in practice. I am very hopeful this may motivate him to utilize practice a little bit better and try to raise the standards of this program. I feel very confident that Corey is going to raise his level and practice better. If he is motivated to start, then he will have better practices. I think he will and I am hoping this will catapult him to be more focused.”
He also said that Shaq Doorson's foot is fine and the reason he did not play in the last two games was because of matchups.
