Recruiting

Great pick up..Brandt was 54-0 as a Sophomore Wrestling in the Nations toughest state by far...I think he will be an outstanding collegiate wrestler...We are starting to really get on a roll with recruiting and Goodale hiring Mytych and Labriola ( strong PA ties) is working out!
Let's Go RU Wrestling!
Connor has been showing some excellent potential and may live up to expectations. As I've mentioned before, I think Brandt is even stronger. Great pick-up. Has Brandt ever faced Parkins or any of the others ranked ahead of him in the Flo rankings?

This is a great pickup. We knew he was probably coming but we obviously need more of these. ys.

Not being excited that we landed a good recruit because we thought he was coming is wild
I think you’re misunderstand. I’m definitely excited for Harer, but since his arrival is already expected, getting another hammer would be even more so.

Have to wonder if it's the upcoming 30 roster limit or looking for more NIL. Vince Bouzakis is another late decommit no longer committed tOSU...
Mineo said it wasn’t an NIL-driven decision on FB, for what it’s worth

That’s strange. I heard earlier this week there was a weird NIL situation with Ludington going on. Something about his club coaches getting paid by some ASU NIL foundation but I don’t have any details about it. Didn’t think he’d decommit but whatever. His timeline would line up here pretty well.

If you’re the type to read too much into social media activity, his dad liked a comment pointing to Rutgers🤷🏾‍♂️
Rutgers has done fairly well in recent history with NJ athletes with late, sudden decommits. Dean Peterson and Sammy Alvarez come to mind. Nick Suriano too but different situation. Even Art Sitkowski in football.

Wonder if we see him at the match on Sunday. Only a few miles from his home and it’s in the building where he won his first regional title as a freshman.

Interesting as Dave Kiley(asst coach Brick Mem) was hired in early Sept to run State 48(looks like a type of fundraising arm of ASU wrestling). Wonder how long he stays out there......

Yeah that’s probably what my person was talking about but I didn’t entirely understand

Would be a massive pickup and he could slide in at 197 or 184 depending on his preference after Poz or Soldano are gone after next year. There are going to be a ton of starting spots available in 2 years as 60% of our current starting lineup are juniors. That has to be very appealing to the next 2 recruiting classes, especially since the current crop of redshirt freshman, sophomores, and non-starting juniors (Hermes, Packer, Chletsos, Fongaro, Gayer, Freeman, Casale, Weaver, O'Donnell, Toranzo) haven't really developed into fulltime B1G ready starters yet. SCW is probably the closest and could be a key contributor if he continues to develop, but there are still a ton of starting spots up for grabs in 2 years.

I liked that young man. Met him at our wrestling tailgate at the RU football game on his official visit. Young Harer visited that same weekend. Very nice family

We really need a good heavyweight pickup. It's a weight that the staff really needs to go all out on. I feel like we're pretty covered everywhere else except 197 and Heavy for the long term.

RU has been great in picking up round 16 wrestlers at 197 and 285 and turned them into AA's
Staff can push that narrative
