Regardless of your politics, it was nice to see the Gov there and there for the whole game

The Mrs and I work at a Food Bank and the Gov showed up on Thanksgiving to assist with dishing out dinner. He had never been there before.

I'm sure we'll see him again next Thanksgiving along with the APP Reporter and Photographer.
Yeah, because I’m sure the food bank would rather keep everything on the down low so no one knows it exists or needs help during the season of giving. Jesus.

I guarantee it'll be more than most of his predecessors. Did Christie, Corzine, McGreevey or Whitman ever even go to any RU football or basketball games? I know Codey did and Pete C. was his chief-of-staff, too.
I know for a fact Christie was at the RU OSU game this year and wearing a Ru polo. We give christie a lot of crap for wearing a ND shirt to basketball games (and rightfully so), but did show up to a decent number of RU football games and helped the renovation of RU’s campus

So what? What is your point? That the guy is a total phony and doesn’t give a crap about hungry people? Every politician under the sun has these photo ops. Some may actually care some many only care about the photo op but I would think they attract attention so that people that don’t know the food bank exists might support it with contributions. How is that bad? Sorry that it makes you so angry. So many miserable people.

I am definitely no fan of, well, pretty much any of them, to be honest. But Whitman, while hanging out at the EPA under Bush, did go to an RU-Georgetown game in D.C. I saw her security first, but there she was.

She was in over her head as governor -- and as one of the people who takes advantage of her property being taxed as a "farm" for selling a couple hundred dollars in hay while being stinking rich, I didn't particularly care for her -- but she was a nice woman. I had a second job in retail for a while and she came in a couple of times. An absolute pleasure to deal with, even when you don't have what she's looking for.

As for Murphy, he was wearing scarlet socks. I mean, the picture showed very bright red. Gotta like that.

also I believe that Christie was very much behind the push for Hobbs for AD..he was very pro RU sports as a necessity

he got cheers and boos...I just am not a fan and I wasnt a fan of Christie either. Guys like Murphy with his fake smile is in it for himself

Listen not everyone can be like Trump, who does everything out of the goodness of his heart.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I'm sorry I couldn't even type that without choking hysterically

The optics have worn thin at one week in? I was very happy to see him at the game so early in his term. Let's give him a chance - haven't gotten much (any) support in the past two terms as I recall.
You misunderstood my point. Yes it’s good he came. It obviously beats the alternative. But I also want the proof. Who has actually really been supportive over the years

Didn't clap or boo----neither IMO was appropriate.

Not much use for someone who cares more for people who are here illegally than the ones that are residents and you'll see the first 12 months validate that.

Seems to me he has already over promised and will be hard pressed to deliver without making this a more economically challenged state to live in than it already is. I am not that close to agenda other than knowing of his progressive tendencies, but I have never heard him say anything about his plans regarding support for RU. I would not expect much because there is no money. The best we can hope for is probably the status quo.

In terms of support, he can do a lot for RU without ever spending any money. Just being vocally PRO-RU can change attitudes.

I think it was nice that our new Governor showed up at our game. Christie only came to a few games and always wore Delaware or Notre Dame colors. He really never supported RU.
