Reminder: MLAX vs. Maryland, 6:00 Saturday, ESPN2. B1G Championship on the Line

MD reached final four 4 of the last 5 years ... No shame in losing to MD, just wanted RU to play their best.

How many teams are in the tournament? Why are the announcers acting like we won't get in? Are we not ranked 17th? Are there 16 teams in the tournament?

The game is far from over. We need to get a goal off this 2 man up at the start of the 3rd. We haven't even had our run yet. Jules Heningburg has not played to his capability these last 2 games. He needs to contribute.

Game could easily be 6-5. Alleyne whiffed on 2 balls he typically doesn't whiff on, and had sight of the entire way, plus the goal they got after they were rewarded the ball when Alleyne got piled-onto. Considering they're the hottest team in the nation, and #3, not too bad BUT we can play a lot better IMHO.

18 teams. 10 auto-qualifiers. Can't have Harvard beat Yale tomorrow that's for damn sure.

Denver can not lose to Marquette. They are losing 9-7 in the 3rd. Would not be good for us in case we need the at large to get in.

Wondering if Jules is ok. He doesn't look like himself and hasn't for 3 games now.

How are they even TALKING about a potentially 8-8 Harvard team (assuming Yale wins tomorrow)? That's beyond laughable.

True ... But it's not.

Clearly should have been a push from behind with possession

We just can't string together plays. Every time we get momentum we give it up. Lacrosse is a momentum game and we are a huge momentum team.

Our clearing game is not great today. And that is usually a strength.

Maryland is just so good at not letting us run.

Denver will take an at large. We might be able to withstand that if we don't have a run today.

Harvard losing tomorrow is a must. Marquette was on the bubble themselves. Harvard at 8-8 I can't see a real case for.

They're RELENTLESS on D thee tire length of the field. IIRC we have some top-flight D guys coming in, right?

Not all but some. But they are the better team right now.

Hats off to them. The more I watch them play, the better I think they are. It doesn't hurt to have a lot of seniors and juniors making plays for them.

We will get there. This experience is going to be great for our team moving forward.

Let's hope it is enough to get a bid and continue the ride.

Marquette was a bubble team. They weren't in, but had a case. We really need to Yale to win tomorrow.

As for us, keep the recruiting going strong, keep developing our players and keep working on support/funding/facilities, which we are doing.

4 stops in final minute ... Summarizes the game ... Hope we don't get the RU Screw

Great season. Nothing whatsoever to be ashamed about today. 14-8 to the team that looks like it's probably going to win the national title I'll take

The future is VERY bright!

Vegas does set odds for this and Marland is favored by 1.5 goals.
If that in fact was the spread it was ridiculously low. Easy money. I thought the spread would be around 4.5 ; that at least would have kept it interesting. Still a pretty terrific season for a team picked to finish last in conference play.

Just not our day today. Our energy was low and we just didn't bring our A game, which needed to be perfect to win a championship against a program like Maryland in May.

If it ends today, it was a great season. So much to build on.

Hopefully we get the opportunity to play again this season. We will know tomorrow.

Last year head to head results weighed heavily in the selection process. That's something in our favor. Hard to put Hopkins in and leave Rutgers out. A case can certainly be made for it based on their quality wins but still we beat them twice so it's pretty difficult to see putting Hopkins in and leaving us out.
Decent chance but the more exciting thing by far is how young this team is and how much better it will be next year and in 2018.
