Reminder: MLAX vs. Maryland, 6:00 Saturday, ESPN2. B1G Championship on the Line

Let's use your analogy with Navy, Upstream. You've been refuted with JHU, most would agree. We have a stronger SoS than Navy, so we should be in before them right?

If it were up to me, I'd put Rutgers in before Navy.

But you're still missing the point. You can't look at only one factor, whether that factor is W-L, H2H results, SOS, or common teams played. You have to look at the entirety of all factors on the resume. Right now SOS is Rutgers' weakest factor.

Ideally I want both Hopkins and Rutgers to make it. But I expect that only one will. I don't know which one will make it ahead of the other. Both teams have resume weaknesses that make it a close call.

So if say Hopkins and Navy get in, you'd call that a problem, right?

Right 5 to play the four other seeds. Maybe we make the play in for the right to go to Denver?

Navy took our spot. This committee stuff needs to looked at.

By almost any measure we are better than them.

"The old boys club" screwed us.

Feel horrible for the kids and staff. They were deserving.

Only thing I can say is we need to take it. No one is giving us shit. Donate donate donate.

So are there any more slots for non-AQ's that were not among the ranked teams or is this done?

Hopkins and Navy. Navy is a very average team. Hopkins we beat twice.

No sense in crying about, it ain't changing. If we want it, we have to take the decision away from other people.

It deserves its own thread and I will make one. Big time hats off to the staff and players. They represented our school and themselves incredibly well.

Really want to hear from the commitee on this one. How u can put in a team over a team that beat them twice is unbelievable. These kids deserved better. On another note, Marquette had a good season but don't deserve a 6 seed.

I guess the message from the committee is that we need to schedule up or you can't afford to lose to a down Princeton club. I guess the RPI distinction in the schedules suggest to the committee that our record would have been worse than JHU had we played their schedule despite beating them twice.

There is no way you can say Hopkins is a better team than RU. I don't care what their RPI or SOS is. We didn't beat then once. We beat them twice. There is 0 doubt there.

If they made it, so should have we. If they left both of us out, it makes 100% more sense. But Hopkins made it on their name recognition and their past, while we didn't get the same benefit..that's the definition of playing favorites.

If we had beaten Ohio State or Princeton, that probably would've been enough to overcome the name and past history of Hopkins. Disappointing to be on the outside for sure. It was still a great season.

Navy getting in over us is a bigger travesty than Hopkins.

We were the biggest screw job. Not far behind is the seedlings. Marquette went from a bubble team to a 6 seed? Amazing! Guess whose coach sits on the committee?

Navy in over Rutgers? Amazing! Guess what former Naval Academy coach sits on the committee?
