RIP Vanity (Prince girl)

that was basically the only song but she was overshadowed by the other two Prince proteges Appollonia had Sex Shooter and was his co star in Purple Rain and Sheila E was the one protégé who had the most hits and she was the most talented. I think she scored 3 top 40 singles The Glamorous Life, Belle of St Mark and Love Bizarre

Early MTV star

Tonight I'm livin' in a fantasy
My own little nasty world
Tonight, don't you wanna come with me
Do you think I'm a nasty girl?
Lucky she made it to 57.
She died after years of battling kidney failure and, more recently, an abdominal illness.
She also battled crack addiction in the '90s, and after a 1994 OD her kidneys were shot. She had to undergo nearly daily dialysis treatments.

"Just directa your feetza to Daddy Green's Pizza."

Much love to the poster(s) who know what that line's referring to... without the aid of Google. :D

Anyway, RIP Vanity. Way too young.

Yes, ha! Was the pizza joint that Leroy's parents owned that Sho' Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem and his cronies roughed up. Classic 80s movie called The Last Dragon. Vanity was the main girl in it, and she was.... unmmm, dope, to say the least. Total looker.

The song was awesome... "When ya got that glow, da da da da..." Lots of Bruce Lee footage. So good.

Wow just looked it up... dude that played Sho' Nuff died back in '08 of Pancreatic Cancer. Was only 56! WTF? So 56 and 57.

P.S. The Last Dragon was the first movie I ever saw William H. Macy in.

I just hit up boogie nights in Atlantic city and they played this song. That club is freakin awesome. Classic disco baby

Go buy a frigging sense of humor.
Is that what you call that! "a frigging sense of humor" I call it, a classless comment from a person who has consistently shown that he has no class! And, that is more response than you deserve.
You must be very lonely.

Oh god. Classless? It's a joke about the god awful dancing in the video!! Get a life. Pretending you mourn someone you don't know, never met and up until this thread didn't know by name or if she was still alive or not, is a bit funny too but in a very weird creepy way.
