One TD in the last 10 Qtrs. by the RU Offense.
Beyond disappointing.
Our OC is way over his head at this point .
It was different coaching WRs in the American Athletic Conference last year.
If this gets to 14 Qtrs. next week .. turn out the lights.

We could have saved 1.5 million a year and kept KF. Same results.

Ridiculous. What that you saw last season makes you think that a Flood-coached team would have beaten New Mexico, or battled Iowa? Besides the carry-over in current lack of talent, the constant is Laviano. We'd almost be better off sending the offense onto the field without a QB at this point.

Be prepared to add another 4 quarters to that total after next weekend. Michigans D is almost as good as OSU's

Please name a matchup at WR or TE where you think we will consistently win or hell, even win 50% of the time.

Then factor in the D knows Laviano won't keep it in zone read and outside of the rare Go route, can't throw the ball downfield.

But yeah, it's the OCs fault.

Wish people on the free board weren't so consistent with their stupidity each week.

Yeah, because blaming the OC for an inept offense is stupid.

It is when he has ZERO to work with. Why is that so hard to understand for so many?
maybe fans want to see results or progress. Why is that so hard to understand? When we hire a guy with no job experience and the results are not there, people are going to point fingers. I get what you are saying but I ALSO get what eveyone else is saying. Got to let them vent and get it out. It's not healthy to hold it in.

Yep! Thats the problem. Season is a quarter over and no results or progress. WR coach for one year and JMU OC does not make for B1G OC. Gotta get coaches with real experience!!!

I just don't get why we continue to run first and second down even after the defenses get dialed in to our offensive play-calling.

Maybe some fans are stupid.

It can take up to 3 years for a new offense to really start working and people want to boot an OC after 5 games who is trying to do it without an even mediocre qb. Smh.

3 years to work out ?? Please, look at other programs.

I would say just 1 TD by an Offense in 10 straight Qtrs. might tell you something is not working.
Just a thought.[eyeroll]

I just don't get why we continue to run first and second down even after the defenses get dialed in to our offensive play-calling.

The reason for that is probably because CL all too often has problems completing a pass of even a few yards under real game conditions, and in this offense the QB is the position that makes it go...or not go. -And unfortunately, (right now, anyway), the other options at QB either aren't really viewed as being ready physically to run the show during an entire game, (i.e., Oden) or apparently aren't seen by the staff as being any better at running the "O" than Laviano, so the play calling is impacted accordingly.

Here's what I've seen with my own eyes. A QB who is incapable of throwing the most simplistic passes. I've seen him throw slants 4 yards behind WR's. Over throw bubble screens and hitches. Throwing arrow routes into the ground. And when he finally does make a good throw, the WR's don't catch them. I saw Patton drop 2 today. I saw Flanagan drop at least 1 and I'm sure I'm missing another 1 or 2.

But it's amazing that we find a way for our most talented player, Grant, to get yardage. Why is that you ask, because he has talent! I'm all for bashing the guy when we get a little more talent in here and we still suck. But until then...

Now the special teams coach, I'm on board for the bashing!
