AC is one of the best finishers I've seen. He would have most certainly finished 3 or 4 of those goals today.

Tough loss for the PSU and the B1G. We all hate Penn St., but you want them winning that game.

I'll mark this one down to 1st game jitters. Hopefully.

PSU tied with Nova at 15 now. I'm torn as we want PSU to win for our SOS, but anytime the Cult loses it's a good day.

I'll take the hit on SOS anytime when psu loses. I know it's tough for the conference but I'm happy they did.

Can I offer a counter point? If RU and PSU have similar conference records, the difference could be a loss or two in the OOC that determines who makes it. UMD and OSU were in the finals last year. Those two along with Johns Hopkins and our conference SOS is fine

It's a fair point, but one that is mitigated when you consider it would be even better if PSU won The SoS would be even better.

It's a widely accepted theory in most every sport. You want your conference foes to win OOC so when you beat them, it helps you. If you lose to them, it it's a "better" loss.

Lacrosse is no different.

It'd be good for the conference if they won a National Title too. But I'd be damned, if I'll be rooting for them in that one as well. That place could fall off the face of the earth and I won't be shedding a tear.

I don’t disagree with you at all with having a strong SOS. It’s just that PSU will be the one B1G team I root against. It’s pretty obvious there won’t be 5 spots in the tournament for B1G schools after last season. So I wouldn’t mind them taking a few losses as long as UMD, OSU, and Hopkins get their OOC wins

Them having a better record and bigger wins and us beating them is better for us. That’s the bottom line.
