RU vs Maryland 3PM ESPNU 1/22/17

I agree that Marianne Stanley was key to the Final IV in her only season on the banks. Due to her status as a legendary head coach, she was the only coach that could truly give CVS constructive criticism and more importantly, the only coach that CVS would listen too, when it came to that const criticism.

Now the no real evidence statement. I sat 3 rows behind the RU bench for the entire careers of TSB; Kia; RH and Monique Oliver (TY Back...could not remember her name...awesome player w/out big height, that could have been better w good teaching coach). Missed maybe 2 home games. Away games: watched in person or on TV or listened on radio-Every Game. I watched each player's progress from game one to their last in an RU uniform. CVS did nothing to develop any of her bigs.

That's not evidence. That's your opinion.

And I attended the same home games as you and every post-season game home and away as well as many trips to away games. Sitting at a game entitles you to your opinion. It doesn't make it a fact.

Kia Vaughn as a Senior was far superior to her freshman play. Similarly with the others you mention. Since I was at the same games....... Well you can fill in the rest.

Since you specifically mentioned Kia, I guess it would be good to discuss her RU career and the fact that CVS did not develop her inside play and basketball skills throughout her college years to its true potential.

I agree that I gave no real evidence of the truth, but only my personal observation. But what proof in way of Kia did u give besides the same subjective opinion? Where is the empirical evidence.

Easy for all of you to say that these players were held back or didn't progress while at Rutgers. No real evidence or proof of that. I do agree that Marianne Stanley helped a lot during the Final Four run in 2007.
I knew you couldn't back your false statement. Kia was developed so well by CVS that she went from average 12 pts a game as a Soph to 10 pts her Jr and Sr years. And the #1 center and even #1 or 2 overall rated recruit ended her RU career as a Big East honorable mention player. Please check your facts next time.

Don't forget sometimes there are players on the roster that start showing more offense like Prince did in Kia's junior year and the O starts to revolve more around them having Vaughn in more of a supporting role where the O is concerned.
Plus with talent like Matee ,Essence and Epiphanny possessed the scoring is spread out more and it can look like someone regressed offensively instead of improving.
That might lead to someone neglecting to see their overall game improved because their scoring didn't .

Sorry. I took time to support Rutgers Men's Basketball at the Garden against Wisconsin. Hope you are ok with that. I see that you simply want to rationalize you constant blasting of the Coach. So there is no reasoning with someone like you. Madhat points out a potential answer which has a lot of validity. If stats are all you'd like to use then you win. Hope you're happy.

That likely is the case because:
In her junior year, Kia took 61 fewer shots and 44 fewer free throws than in her sophomore year.
In her senior year, she took 69 fewer shots and 84 fewer free throws than in her sophomore year.
If you assume that she didn't reach her full potential in college (I don't), then you would expect her to do more when she reached the pros. Her ppg in the pros ranged from 2.1-10.1 with an average of 6.5 points per game.

Thanks to Madhat1 and ChasRC69 for stepping up while I'm recovering from the game in the Garden. Tough loss but you got to make free throws done the stretch and we didn't.

Agreed all important points. I just wonder what Geno would have done w her. I kind of remember her recruitment was a sore spot between RU and UCONN.
