While I agree that Davis is an important piece this season, I don’t think this game is showing anything other than how unmotivated and unfocused the team is. Playing way, way down to the level of competition.

Sucks and it creates fertile ground for an upset. Coaches hate it and it’s obvious from Pike’s subbing that he’s trying to jolt the team out of its funk. But it happens a lot in most sports.

PG sets the tone. Plus Davis is a big energy player in general

You are probably correct. However, no good ever comes out of these games…especially mid-season when we are playing 3 games in 3 weeks and start exclusive conference play in a few days. Just really stupid.

Not disagreeing about him, and he *might* have been able to alter how that half played out. But he might also have been as low energy and low focus as the rest of the team today. I think it would’ve been likely.

Let’s see who steps up in the second half.
