Basketball Rutgers Basketball loses at the buzzer to No. 15 Michigan 84-82

You mean the back to back “cylinder” calls

Can someone give me an example of ONE time that has been called in one of our games this year - on either team? Give me one!!

Critical period for UM that mother f#cker called it on us twice in one minute!!!

Total hroseshit
Obvious screw job tbh.

To call that, in those moments, at the end of the game is down right pathetic. The university should complain to the B1G and the official should be investigated.

Not even kidding.

Another crushing defeat.Rutgers simply can't put opponents away when they have a sizable lead. The scoring drought occurs and the game becomes a nail biter The opponent gets the last possession and makes the shot to win the game. The team scored more than enough points to win but the defense stinks .
It’s happened a lot the last few years

Yes. Exactly. You have to play the odds, and the odds are that if they shoot a three they probably miss. They just got off a great shot. We played the correct defense, but what can you do.
That was a totally pressureless shot, nobody was near the shooter, it was like a shot in warmups where you catch, set your feet and maybe it goes in. A lot harder to make with someone all over you.

Dylan doesn’t need to be right up in his face when he’s that far out but he needs to be closer than he was.

First half best coaching I’ve ever seen. Worst half worst coaching I’ve ever seen.

(Actual opinion of some people here.)
I thought Steve made one terrible mistake that cost us tge game. Most people will say Steve did a terrible job but wont get what i think the mistake was.

We play sh*t defense all year and expect it to change miraculously when it matters most.

We already knew that, no silver lining here. This was our chance to make a run and maybe, just maybe get on the bubble by getting to 19-15 without having to win the B1G tourney. Now that's a must. Not impossible, but extremely unlikely.
We don’t find ways to win, we find ways to lose, maybe we grab a game or maybe two but our ability to find ways to lose as opposed to making winning plays will prevent us from making any kind of run. We are 14-15 for a reason.

The problem is this…. technically, per the rules, they might actually qualify as fouls

But the refs NEVER call it. EVER. Haven’t seen it all year. Not once.

And he calls it twice in one minute during a critical juncture!!!!!

so a complaint will just just be met with ….“per the rules it was the correct call”

It’s like an a’hole cop who gives a ticket for someone going 51 in a 50 at 2am with not another car on the road (I mean technically he’s right) and then when the driver pulls away pulls him over again for not signaling (technically it’s a violation)

Maybe technically correct but total f&@king bullshit

They fought tonight but yet somehow I feel like we care more than some of the players.
That feels true, Ace bouncing out of the final timeout to Dr. Dre song and Dylan falling asleep on defense after the timeout on last play are two prime examples. If they win they win, if they don’t they don’t, JWill will crack some jokes for the fellas in the locker, it’s all good…..that is how this team strikes me. They never developed an ability to make enough winning plays.

Hahahaha you literally said the thing I wrote as a parody of a stupid thing to say holy shit.

In half two they were 1-10 from 3 and 8-26 from 2 -- some of the misses around the basket were certainly those apprehensive shots you put up when you are getting hammered with no call. And plenty of the 3's were the looks they wanted.

Saying Ace dosent care because he was getting himself pumped up before the final possession?

Come on lmao. When I saw he was like that I was excited he had some juice going into that final shot and trying to get his guys amped up with him

There was no one near Dylan on that side of the court, only his man, Burnett. If they had 15 seconds to work with I get Dylan hanging back to help in the paint, but there was 3.3 seconds on the inbounds. He should have been on his man, Wolf never passes it to Burnett if Dylan blankets his man, and Wolf shoots a desperation and pressured likely missed three. That shot was from deep but with no one any near the shooter it’s a lot easier than it looks. Just like they said on Peacock, it was too casual, nonchalant, ball watching defense.

Yep, rather see the game end, win or lose, with Harper taking the final shot. The minute JWill drove the lane with more than 10 secs left, I told my wife UM will now win the game at the buzzer. Mark it down.
Before the possession the announcers agreed -- down one, first good shot. I seriously doubt any seasoned coach would have called it differently.

It speaks to focus or lack thereof, Dylan clearly had a brain fart lack or lack of focus on the final play.
