Basketball Rutgers falls at Oregon with porous perimeter defense and struggling stars

You’re saying fouling and giving up a 7 second possession at the end of the first half is worse than an end of game timeout that directly led to us losing?
You’re interpreting my statement as the outcome of the decision is worse.

That’s not what I said.

I’m saying the decision itself is worse. A coach fvcking up on icing a kicker (which is 100% common) is not nearly as bad as a coach intentionally giving up a possession before half in a close game.

A damning assessment of Pikiell
Pike doesnt believe raising NIL is apart of his job. That and his lack of belief in running an offense will put a fork in his tenure here. Due to his contract, its gonna end very ugly with him here. Hes not gonna voluntarily resign from all that guaranteed money.

No 1000% wrong - Schiano made the worst decision of his career on that one.

Oregon 9/14 from 3, 64%+. Pike make an adjustment defensive genius.

You’re only saying that because you know the outcome.

When making that decision, you do not know the outcome. That’s the point.

Intentionally giving up a possession like we did would be the equivalent of telling your team to jump offsides on that FG kick giving them a 1st down.

Agree to disagree there.

Nope, we knew the outcome before the play. There's simply no way you ever give a coach a chance to reconsider an impossible to hit FG from 55 yards into a 20 mph wind.

With this lineup the play has to be to try to get lathan the ball in the post and if a double comes try to get Martini or Hayes an open 3
