Rutgers NCAA Seeds and Matchups

I agree, considering he got beat by Stout and is probably pissed off. Plus, Cardenas loves to shoot ( which is Bulsaks Achilles Heel). I feel more confident with Bulsak vs. Schultz. If Greg can get past Cardenas, I see him advancing to at least the quarters. I heard from the grape vine that Poz is indeed, very injured. That could have hurt his confidence. Wrestling hurt...sucks! So, hopefully, heals up. I have a good feeling he is going to rebound and make that podium again.
Where are you getting this BS information. Not injured

I'm at practice everyday. The boys are training hard getting ready for next week. I speak with Poz everyday at practice.
What's he going to tell you? That he is banged up and he is fighting injury? He's mentioned to other teammates he's hurt because I'm friends with one of the wrestlers' on the teams' fathers. He is definitely hurt. Does your kid tell you everything? I doubt it.

Thanks, my man. Had a brief moment of consciousness and clarity, and didn't realize how our insults and verbal poundings affected this young man and his teammates. I actually got moved by Billy Janzer, when he had the guts and respect to make an account to come on here and defend his friends. Now that's a person you want as a friend, and teammate. I know for a fact that Goody doesn't want these kids posting on here, and to break protocol to stand up for his teammates, says volumes. Plus, most of us are adults. We should look at these kids like a son, younger brother, nephew, or even someone we coach. They need the support, as we would do for the latter. With that said, there is room for constructive criticism, but not out-and-out insults. Poz ( using as an example), if genuinely hurt, then he is a warrior and we need to support him, win or lose. The kid was our hero when he was performing, but now that he is having a tough time, we turn on him? I'm guilty of it too, and I offer my apologies. If he AA's, great, if he loses 2 in a row, we should be fine with it as well. He is a wonderful young man and doesn't deserve this. The pressures to repeat are so overwhelming, it messes with your head ( believe me, I know). A little downtime to regroup, hang out with his friends, go to school, vacation, spend time with his family, will do him some good. If he wants to redshirt, that's his, his parents, and the coaches' business, and not for us to judge either which way. In the end, he is just a kid, trying to make a mark for himself and impress us as fans. For that, we should be grateful. Regarding Sammy Alvarez. Look, like I said previously, he may need some time to get it together. He's a kid! Not a seasoned older adult like most of us. he takes this stuff personally, like most kids. The last thing he needs is more negativity on top of what he is going through. Like Poz, he needs to regroup and come back like the Sammy we know.
Thank you for this post. This needed to be said for quite some time now. Let’s all just support the warriors who wear the Rutgers singlets!

1. Poor information
2. Speculation
3. Posters and wrestlers get upset
4. Name calling
5. Return to #1
It’s not poor information, it’s clear the program doesn’t want to make these kids health issues public, and that’s the kid’s and the program’s right. You are not entitled to this information, and your incessant whining, even in your reply to Billy’s post, is off-base - these aren’t the NY Yankees. If I recall, the tone of your reply post was “Sorry Billy but when Scott doesn’t tell us exactly what’s going on, we’re going to enter into wild speculation and that might hurt wrestlers feelings.” How about:
1. Poor information;
2. Get over yourself and see who takes the mat;
3. Wrestlers don’t get upset;
4. Enjoy the product on the mat; or
5. Go root for Penn State where you can enjoy a top 3 program every year and will have less to complain about

He is not hurt ..your info is BS ...other then the usual accumulation of aches etc from a grueling schedule to keep making excuses for losing is a joke ..the kid is definitely going through a mind fart so to speak but to keep saying he is injured is just not true ..a couple guys are banged up but he is not one of them ..he can turn it on for sure but coaches would not put him out there if he was injured ....you have your inside info supposedly and I have mine ....either way I’m rooting for him to turn the page on whatever is going on and be all that he can be and won’t be disappointed no matter what he does .Go Poz!

We'll see how long the new religion lasts. Informing us that a wrestler is healthy isn't a violation of privacy, yet there is still a very unnecessary debate going on about it. What purpose is this forum if not for expressing opinions and observations? Do my words need your approval? I do not believe I have ever said anything that was unfairly critical of any wrestler. And unlike you, I think respect should extend to fellow posters. Disagree; try to do it intelligently, and leave out the name-calling and stupid and childish presumptions that someone lives in a trailer park, etc.

I want to see Rutgers become a better and more successful program. I question the program when I see failures. Nothing will improve when only praised.

As for Billy, he's a big boy. My question about him was not a criticism but asking what he did this year. Is that unfair when not knowing he had back surgery? It was answered quickly by those who knew and reported that he had the surgery. I'm not entitled to anything other than being able to ask questions and express my opinion.

I've responded to your post without calling you names.

...and won’t be disappointed no matter what he does .Go Poz!
What kind of logic is that? He's not a two year old competing for a participation trophy. He's one of the most talented wrestlers the program has seen. I believe in his capabilities and want to see him successful. I will be disappointed if he doesn't do well and I'm not afraid to say that. I will continue to consider him a great talent and I will continue to expect good things from and for him. Suddenly with this new religion, we can't be disappointed? Good luck with that. And no, I don't live in a trailer park.

ESPN not televising the opening rounds on Thurs for the first time in a long time sucks. Sure, every mat streams on ESPN3/ESPN app but not having Thurs on ESPNU and ESPN or ESPN2 is a big blow to wrestling. Very weak. BTN should take over.

CRAP
I was hoping this started on friday.
I have to spend 18 hours on the road thursday.

"Harley1" and this "Sure U wanna be a loser like me", are the same people. He is having a conversation with himself. Trying to get validation for his stupidity from two angles. At first, I thought it was Pat Mineo, in disguise, because if you read Mat.com, the structure of his comebacks and insults sound the same.

Definitely of the same ilk. Next level up on the evolutionary chain is SJW.

Three times someone from the team has come on here to put you in your place ...when your not calling to meet parents in the parking lot you attack kids unmercifully to the point they come here to put you in your place ala JoJo and Billy J ..your comments are usually a bottom of the bottle analysis which is because you can’t control yourself ..it’s no wonder the team wants nothing to do with a former AA ....you’re a disgrace to the team and the sport ...hows that for talking to someone !

How many times are these threads going to become the same f’ing crap? No one cares. Take your spats offline. Get each other’s emails and fight or meet in a parking lot. Every thread turns into this stupid ass personal battle. Everyone just wants to talk wrestling. It’s like a bunch of teenage girls fighting in HS.

Can we discuss the tournament, what our guys need to do to succeed, who we think will win titles? Too much bickering about who has the correct inside info.
Prediction: Rutgers scores 39 points and finishes 12th
Shaver goes 2-2, Oliveri - goes 2-2 , Rivera is the Champ, MVB goes 3-3 for 8th,
O'Neil goes 1-2, Poz goes 2-2, and Bulsak goes 2-2

What do others think?
