I hope our athletic department is all over this! No reason at all we can’t send a couple thousand students to Madison Square Garden to support the team.

Better yet, put together some package for the students combining New Jersey transit, a ticket, and some kind of food voucher.

New Brunswick Station to Penn station, then walk up a few flights of stairs to the Garden. I mean, it doesn’t get any easier than that to go to an “away” game.

Big financial ask of the school. Cheapest seats left are $46 with fees in the upper part of the 200s. Big price for a student to pay or for the school to get the tab.

Unless it has changed, students pay nowhere near that price as long as they have ID. The school Is allotted tickets even as the away team!

This is a very very important game.

It’s not a financial ask, it’s an investment in the program. Get it done.

Since I can’t go, I would buy 1-2 tickets for students if the athletic department organized something for the student (additional tickets)

RU's allotment of tickets went back to MSG about 2 weeks ago. A round trip train ticket is probably about $ 20 for a student from New Brunswick. Anywhere from 100-200 students would be a big help. WE need to make a presence at MSG like we did in 2018 in the BIG Tournament.

- student thx sold out. IIRC the # was 100 (this is a ROAD GAME)

- It was being promoted on Scarlet Knights.com, for a month or more, that fans could purchase tickets for additional students at $15 per ticket

- this is not a “very very” Important game. It’s an important game, yes, but let’s stop with the hyperbolizing please. Every game from here on out is important.

I think the "importance" part is relative to how this is our only real chance to get a HUGE crowd for an away game (neutral court win) effort which is big in the final NCAA determination.
For me winning at MSG is always special and would love to do it in front of the city's UM crowd.

It would be great if there were a lot of students at the game but the money could be better utilized elsewhere. No point in the school spending a ton of money that will go to Michigan, MSG and NJtransit.

the city's UM crowd

Part of that "crowd", if it shows up in anywhere near decent numbers (UM's season has been disappointing so many may not be bothering, like NUTS' friends for example) is coming into the city from the 'burbs (whether it be NJ, LI, Westchester, CT, etc) so it's not like they're all Manhattan-ites anyway.
