It depends. If you win your 1st 3 matches & make it to the semis, then you AA, even if you lose out you'll finish 6th. If you win your 1st 2 matches & lose in quarters, then you have to win your next match in wrestlebacks to AA. If you win 1st match but lose 2nd, then you have to win 4 in a row in wrestlebacks to AA.

Big win for the team there. However, he looked gassed the second half of the match and had a very hard time on bottom most of the match. Still, a win is a win and we have 2 guys in round 2 with Perrotti coming up!

By not being in shape. Other guy had a lot more in the tank. It's not a question of talent, Perotti was the better wrestler but guy out wrestled him in 3rd period and OT. Seems like he does not have the discipline during the layoffs to keep weight down and not have to tire himself out. Just speculation but seems like we have seen this same story 3x already this year. Very disappointing.

Never know which Perrotti you're going to get.

On paper his first match should have been a 'gimme win'.

Like they always say, matches aren't wrestled on paper, though.

If you win your first match but lose your second, you only have to win 3 in a row in wrestlebacks to AA. If you lose your first match, then you need 4 in a row.

Basically, if you win your first 2 matches, you need to either win the next match, or if you lose, you have to win your first wrestleback match.

If you lose one of your first two matches, you need to keep winning in wrestlebacks until you get to 4 total wins.

i tech'd a guy a 2 weeks before losing to him in the semi's in the districts my senior year of high school. it happens.

Perrrotti thrived in the consos last year. lets see if he can do it again. his next two matches will be Scheidel of Columbia and Chad Walsh of Rider. Both definitely winnable. then he'd be in the same round as he would be if he had beat Blanco and lost to Green. hopefully a lot more wrestling to be done.

Yeah, my bad on the win 1st, kose 2nd, as I got distracted by AP's loss

Its all on line. Just use trackwrestling to keep track of who is wrestling on each mat, and who is on deck, and then ESPN3 has all the live mat feeds.

Billy is so frustrating to watch, he never shoots. He looks so strong and athletic, yet never gets offensive. It's the number 1 seed, he shouldn't be wrestling to keep it close. This seems to be too common in our guys 174-HWT. We need someone else working with them next year to take the next step.

I hear that. He is so damn frustrating. No reason to come out flat and lose that match like that. Immediately snapped me out of how thrilled I was for Theo.
