Sargeant: Here are some N.J. places to watch the Rutgers football game vs. Washington

1. The Yard

2. The Olive Branch, located behind College Avenue Gymnasium at 37 Bartlett St., got Dish Network installed this week just for the Rutgers-Washington game, according to bar manager Doug Schneider, who said: "Opening at 11 a.m. Giving away a Weber Grill at halftime. Tons of free stuff. Can't wait.''

3. Olde Queens, located at 108 Easton Ave., will also air the game, according to its Twitter feed.

4. Hoboken, Cadillac Cantina, located at 80 River St., is expected to air the game, according to a response on its Twitter feed.

5. East Hanover, Miami Mike's, located at 130 State Rt. 10, will live stream the game, according to its Facebook page.

6. Mantoloking, Used to Be's, located at 287 State Rt. 35 North., will televise the game, according to its Facebook page.

7. Haddon Township, P.J. Whelihan's Pub, located at 700 Haddon Ave., apparently will televise the game.

8. Not on Sarge's list, but Val's in Rumson said they will have the game.

9. @Tango Two has confirmed:
The Tiger's Tale on Route 206 by Route 518 in Montgomery has the PAC12 network.
I was there last night and just happened to ask because I know some here are scrambling to find a viewing location. They get the Pac12 in SD on the Xfinity cable they have. I had them put it on to confirm it and I saw it on the TV. They said they'd put it on if someone asks. They have 8 TV's in the bar area.

10. Legends Sports Bar in Roxbury per their Facebook Page.

Hope you aren't counting on them. Look at the thread again, basically they didn't know that they don't get the right channel. Or in other words:

Thanks, I was on vacation on not keeping up with everything. I'll be watching at home on Comcast.... much better than nothing.

Prettt weak. Did they actually call places?

The only place that's on that list that wasn't confirmed by this board is PJ's. Also if one PJ's is showing it wouldn't they all be? There's about 6 in South Jersey.

No. I'm sure they all have DirecTV. I'm sure it's up to the locations if they want to bring it in another way.

If anyone can clarify for me, even though Rutgers has their official watch party locations, http://www.scarletknights.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/watch-party.html, those bars may not have the game because they don't have the P12 network?

Yes they may not have the pac 12 network . Basically every bar that shows football has directv and not Comcast or dish . They would need to stream the game . You should call ahead to see if they are streaming the game and even then you will probably get someone that has no clue .

Is there really no audience for games like these to open up the Audi Club for hosting? Seems like a good potential source of revenue right there.

I personally just called PJs. Was put on hold and they checked and said they will not be carrying it.

If they are showing it in the Audi Club then it's likely that none of us were invited. Ha !

OTW bar in Hillsborough has the DISH network (horse races), but not PAC-12. They might be able to be talked into it though if enough of you are in that area.

So no to Val's ? Deserves its own post. We thought for a week they were having it

it is convocation for the incoming freshman and it is being held in the stadium. so no Audi club and that is why it wasn't being held in the stadium. (which really would have been the perfect answer to this whole damn problem)

Val's has stated several times on this board they WILL be showing the game, and it was included in the list above.
Why don't you call them to confirm if you have doubts?
Just reading my hats post above...

.

Been CONFIRMED since yesterday. Don't worry about what this moron has puts in print. Thanks and enjoy the game if you make it to Cadillac Cantina!

See another central location confirmed by @Tango Two :
"The Tiger's Tale on Route 206 by Route 518 in Montgomery has the PAC12 network.

If Sargeant actually shows up to any of these bars, he should open a tab for all the board members, since he basically got that "story" from here with little to no additional work.

Seriously, Twitter confirms? Big fail by NJ.com.

I made other arraingements to view the game so it doesn't help me, but to those that need a location here is an option:

I asked about beer specials and they said $3 Coors and Coors Lite.

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but where can you park if you want to watch the game at The Yard?

I personally just called PJs. Was put on hold and they checked and said they will not be carrying it.

Mr. Whelihan himself says they will have the game at all locations down in the comments section of the article

For once the NJ.com comments section is worthwhile. Lots of good tips following the article
