So Rutgers used what was supposed to be our best team since “75/76” and raised the seat fee/surcharge enormously for this year do they have the audacity to charge the same amount next year and how many people won’t be willing to pay this after this sht show of a year?
Just wondering

I probably won’t be…for various reasons but after 45 plus years I might be done

This year has been one hell of a rug pull. Feel sorry for all the saps that bought season tickets.

Great question, some people on here think RU needs to raise ticket prices exponentially, honestly I don’t think it will work with basketball.

I’m in the 200’s and paying about $1000 per ticket for 15 games, add in the Princeton and MSG games, thats an extra $100 a ticket per game on average. So now we are looking at $1200 for the season. I’m curious what other Big ten teams pay for the same level of tickets.

I know 6 who are done in the 100s and I’m on the fence. Something has to change for me to keep to keep them. Lots of new faces will finally get their chance next year. I had a lot of fun over the years even though we sucked often. Hopefully the new bloods will enjoy them as much.

Seats in the lower 200s were going for under $20 tonight

The whole experience with the incessant noise is really more conducive to fans coming a few times a year rather than a season ticket holder going 18 times
The rac is in a terrible location. In the middle of nowhere Piscataway. Combine that with the weird game day theatrics de-emphasizing the collegiate nature of it and overall poor fan experience the only thing that makes it viable is giving the diehards hope that the games will be exciting. Lethargic performances like we’ve seen at home the last two years will drive them away in droves which will add to the downward spiral as opposing fans take over the arena making a shitty experience even worse.

This year going to every single game as a season ticket holder has been a complete chore. I expect I am not the only one giving up my tickets. Single games should be available next year. Pike hit his ceiling against Houston in tourney. He has underachieved with good talent because he does not run an offense. Game has passed him by. Probably get lame duck 1-2 more years of Pike before Rutgers can stomach writing big check for remainder of his bloated contract. Thanks to disgraced athletic director.

I'm on the fence. Assuming he's still here, I need to see evidence that he's changing his approach to things. Including replacing his coaching staff.

They should probably, as a goodwill gesture, reduce parking back down to $15.

I’ve had season tickets for 30 years.

I’ve sat thru terrible Wenzel / FHJ / EJ squads.

I’ve sat thru the Bannon / Rice fiascos.

I ll endure mediocre Pike years with the hope - not expectation - that future teams will mirror that of the RHJ / Geo / Caleb glory days !

I support my teams thru good and bad times !
Says a lot about us that our glory days were one NCAA win followed by a First Four loss.

There will be a lot of cancellations. The unknown is how many people who got shut out of season tickets this year will jump in next year to grab what they can get.

Anyone in 100 level considering no longer keeping their season tickets please reach out first before just giving them back.

This is why Rutgers is Rutgers, that is, fans who are not only accepting of mediocracy but are thankful for it

Good news for me, I am trying for court side seats, would settle for two tickets in the 100s though.
Are you willing to pony up a few thousand for this sht show; I am the 200's and have been a season ticket holder for 37 years and will not give up my seats but its going to be like old times where I just blow off half of the games unfortunately

What I am willing to pay for seats would make you fall out of your chair. I can't get them because people have sat on them for 30 years donating the bare minimum to keep them. I truly hope some people puke out. I want those seats badly.

I heard two people in this thread say they were giving up tickets. Two. And I call BS on those two. They will be back. Anyone leaving isn’t a real fan anyway.
I am definitely giving up the tickets. Given how far I travel weeknights are a hassle. I will come to games if we don’t suck but just a couple per year and buy better tickets as I am currently in the 200’s. Have a nice day.

Another reason to give them up is the 6:30 starts. I know it's BTN/FS1 dictating those, but it's really hard to make games for those with jobs who don't live close by.

Lots of folks in the 100s will hold on to their season tickets. You can always unload them to opposing team fans. There were plenty of Iowa fans in the 100s last night, and not just behind the Hawkeyes team bench.
