Should be a fun one to watch. Two teams we'll be playing in the near future. Nebraska is a serious dark horse candidate to win the big ten and I think they'll blow SHU's doors off.
Man, it’s unfair that duke is even allowed to play mid/low majors this year with that type of talentEastern Michigan at Sagarin’s current #4 team, Duke tonight, as well as Seton Hall at Sagarin’s current #1 team, Nebraska. A chance to watch three future opponents tonight.
With no first option? No second option for Hall.
Rutgers will beat them by at least 5.
Agreed, really no second option. This white kid with the crazy last name on shu is a pretty good blue collar player. Id say eugene on him, myles on nzei?No second option for Hall.

Agreed that dive for a loose ball was worse than the bs pick + techRefs are terrible.

Agreed about thompson’s body language, piss poor. Gill looks like a big body who really doesnt know how to use it yet. Mcknight seems to have a good burst but his finish ability or inability hasnt impressed me. Really a pretty one dimensional team with powell and you can tell hes not in phenomenal shape, at least not good enough shape to carry a team for 40 minutes. Seton hall will struggle in 2nd halfs all year imoHe is impressing on the boards tonight. Offensively, he gives little. Decent defender, having a good game on the boards, but will not help them out offensively. As Rutgers fans, we know how the program has lacked offensive, and never took a leap out of the basement. Now, we have offensive firepower. SHU will struggle there. I believe they will replace Quincy McKnight with Nelson at some point throughout the year.
I am sadly not high on Cale. Nzei gives his all, but it is not enough to help his team win games. Powell is the player, but cannot win by himself.
I don't expect a huge rebound throughout the year from Thompson either. I think it will be very much up and down, with a lot more downs. Sorry to say it, but just what I see.Body language is huge, and his is poor and describes an about me player.
Still, a fun young team that is giving a lot of energy out there.

Lots of new faces on SHU. I don’t know most of their players.
Hopefully we keep Powell reasonably in check and take them down for a beloved second year in a row.
B1G 3-1
RHJ is better in the post than vs guards on D. Hes pretty thick and although he himself is sneaky quick off the dribble on O, hes not great moving laterally yet on D. That will come when he grows into his body and leans out a little.Oddly enough, SHU and RU have revered stances this year. SHU will rely a lot more on their defense to win games. Rutgers will rely a lot more on offense. Last year that was flipped.
I believe RU steps up their defense as the year goes on. Still figuring out some rotations, and when Mathis, RHJ, and Johnson come in, those are a lot of kids still figuring it out. I have been impressed with some of RJH defense in the post.

I watched shu vs wagner and now vs nebraska. The transfer thompson reminds me a lot of Ducuore
Nebby 80-57....nuff said
I think of duke as more of an out on control player. Not a head cade but very sloppy playNot sure I get this comparison. Did not see much of the Wagner game but tonight Thompson looked like a head case. I don't think of Doucore that way.
12/15 should be interesting
Does the pebble really provide a home court advantage? Especially when RU fans will most likely make up at least 1/3 of the crowd?I look at it this way.. St John's has 2 players better than Powell. If we can beat SJU on Friday, we SHOULD beat the Hall. Home court advantage sure does funny things though.
Must suck to be a fan of a team that shoots that poorly from 3. I can't even imagineRefs in this game awful.
Don’t foul Powell.
SHU 1 for 12 from 3.
