Shout out to Jay Young

I was concerned about our D after St John's game but D has really come around! I really hope he stays but this could be our toughest loss after this year. The team has seemed to embrace the hustle and effort needed to play tough D. It was the difference last night vs Miami and the newcomers have gotten on board with the defense identity. Nice going' coach in preparing our guys!!

Jay Young is one OUTSTANDING defensive coach. Every one of our coaches are such nice guys as well.

It all came together last night. Our length created several turnovers. There is still room for further improvement in certain areas but positives significantly outweighed the negatives last night.

Defensive stats are a combination of hard work and luck.Miami and Rutgers had open shots that were missed and are recorded as a positive defensive stat in the shooting percentage .

Hell yeah. He taught these young kids pretty quickly that defense wins games. What an improvement in such a short time period. They didn’t give an inch and that’s how you have to play every game in this league.

Love Coach Young. We're very lucky to have him. I have a feeling that this will be his last year here, as he'll get a HC job. Same for Knight, FWIW.
