THAT is freaking impressive from 3 land...
The thing is, we need 4 shooters.Thank you for posting this. Watching Nigel at the beginning of the season, I thought, "damn, this kid can play." For whatever reason, he faded as the season wore on, but he was awfully good in those last few games. Perhaps the number 1 reason for optimism next year. Everyone says this team needs a shooter. Maybe they have one.
The team needs multiple shooters to successfully compete against opponents who already have shooters at most positions.Johnson has the best stroke 3 point shooting on the current squad.Thank you for posting this. Everyone is feeling negative this morning. Rutgers is not going to magically have 4 pure jump shooters next year. My point is that if Nigel had played like that all season, Rutgers would have won more games. Corey will be back...and for the umpteenth time: He needs to work on his shooting starting today through the opening of practice. He should be able to keep the D honest by draining mid range J's / threes...passing off to Niguel / Deshawn / then faking the pass, and BLOWING by his defender to drive to the basket using his L hand as well as his right (while increasing his FT % to > 75%).The thing is, we need 4 shooters.
not sure if you saw it but Corey actually did go left one time the other night..think he's hearing the message.Corey will be back...and for the umpteenth time: He needs to work on his shooting starting today through the opening of practice.
