Some NIL Clarification 🗣

@Knight Shift talk to Knights of the Raritan founding board member @wkbrdr3448 for 45 minutes 1:1 as I did and get back to me.

No one is denying that Hobbs has helped make significant progress for RU Athletics since he got here, the NIL stuff has been a bit different.
@Knight Shift happy to have you at Olde Queens Island in Scarlet any time. Right in front of the west gate. We will be there at 4am next Saturday and will be there all day. Feel free to walk over and I will tell you everything going on with RU, NIL, the athletics department, and how/where we are deploying money at Knights of The Raritan.

Will stop by, and will call @bori_blanco . Always open to free and frank discussion to gain a better understanding of what is going on in the real world, as opposed to the message board world of innuendo.

Still planning to stop by. You and @bori_blanco may find this discussion of Michigan's current NIL status and involvement from Michigan athletics interesting. Cued up to the discussion, which is about 4 minutes long.

If I was interviewed, I would have said almost everything that was said there… with the exception of our school’s involvement. But everything he said is what Jon and I have been echoing here or at any external discussion re: KTR.

Not sure if there is a significant difference with what the Michigan guy said--(loosely quoted) and what is going on here at Rutgers: "there have been some obstacles administratively that were clarified by the NCAA statement. . . .Michigan is being careful and not jumping into the wild." Rather than pick nits here, look forward to a productive discussion on Saturday. Should I just ask for the NIL guy at Olde Queens Island?

I've mentioned this stuff with regards to so much unknown about NIL and how it's actually working in practice. A lot of hysteria but it's still new and some what we hear might not be true either.

BTW, I wandered around Olde Queens Island pre-MIchigan game, but could not figure out who to approach. Maybe the Penn State game.

By the way, while one data point does not make a point, it is still a data point nonetheless. It is also still early in the process:

Not sure of the criteria:

So, Miami is #1- they are currently 4-5 and 2-3 in conference, and now this:

Forida, Texas Tech, Texas, Michigan State, and SMU not exactly killing it. Maybe it will take more bags of money and time.
Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, USC, and Alabama were already blue bloods pre-NIL before it was legal.

It's not gonna happen in one recruiting season. When you buy a high school kid, he doesn't enter college as a senior.
