...13 turnovers in the first half, but only 2 in the 2nd half. No coincidence we outscored them by 12 in the 2nd half. What a great game. I kept thinking we were as good as them or better, but in the first half we kept shooting ourselves in the foot with the TOs, until that great run from 31-18 down to 33-31 up. And, of course, we had the 7-0 NE meltdown run with Harper's stupid "last shot" giving NE time for the 35 footer at the buzzer.

But we cleaned everything up so nicely in the 2nd half. Took care of the ball well and had some gorgeous passing, especially on the interior, and played very tough defense. And hit some shots and FTs, preventing having one of those 6 minute scoring droughts. Mathis is becoming as much of "The Man" as Geo, which is great, and Myles Freakin' Johnson is really starting to play (13/11!). Love EO's energy coming back from the injury and Shaq, Harper, and Kiss all had some very nice moments. Great coaching by Pike, also. Big win. Win at PSU and we're well out of the cellar and would even have a shot at not finishing in the bottom 4. Progress.

Also, you can see physically where we’ll be when the frosh become men: Ron still has baby fat but has that great wingspan, Caleb a rangy 6’6”, Myles tremendous size and strength developing, Montez already physically B1G, see him in three years.

And then, once these guys mature and we start winning more, then we'll get even better recruits and then we'll win even more, which will lead to getting the best recruits, which will lead us to Duke level success and then we'll bolt for the NBA!

the free throws kept RU in the game in the first half despite the turnovers...you turn it over 13 times in a half and 90% of the time you will lose, unless of course you only turn it over 2x the next half. RU really valued the possessions in the 2nd half. Patient with the offense and selectively attacked that zone

A stat that jumps out at me is also a 13. We had 13 3-point shot attempts, hitting 5, while winning the game. Didn't Coach Pikiell say he wanted to see about 13 attempts a game? Gee, maybe he knows what he's talking about. We may have to keep him around for a while.
