The B1G is killing it recruiting

Is anyone else surprised that Wisconsin is only at #31?

Wisconsin's problem is that their admissions is trickier to play around with other schools, it's one of the reasons Bielema and Andersen both left.

We should end in the 30-40 range. Which should put us around #7 or #8 in the big ten. We should be getting at least 2 to 3 4 star recruits by year end and most of our 2 stars will be bumped up to 3 star at minimum.

Russo will get bumped and probably Hayes but I wouldn't bet on our linemen. They are projects.

Rivals only takes the top 20 in the class for their calculation. If 2 2 stars get bumped, the other 3 as 2 stars would have no effect on the rank if we bring in a class of 23 or more assuming no more 2 star additions. I think 3 of our 5 2 stars get bumped to 3 star and 1 or 2 of our 3 stars get bumped to 4 star. In addition we should land a 4 star in rene this Friday and there could be a couple more 4 stars as the year progresses.

I think at the very least every single one of our recruits will bump to at least 3***. With 5 or so going to 4****

Didn't a Syracuse coach say New Jersey doesn't have much football talent ? Robinson ?

Haha so you're saying this very average class is going to just become one of our best ever... just because?

Tied for now because we have more commits.
Once recruiting ends in Feb, we'll probably be in the 40-60 range.

At least Russo will end up being a 4 star and most 2 stars will end up being 3 stars. So we should stay in the 30's or at worst low 40's when it is all said and done.

he was obviously joking but this "average" class will end up being one of our highest ranked ever.

I would think that Nebraska, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Washington, South Carolina and Arizona State, all teams presently behind Rutgers, will end up with higher rankings after they fill in their class. This would give Rutgers a ranking of about 47 (39+8).

True, but Rutgers should offset this somewhat by ending up ahead of some of the following teams: Virginia, Houston, Northwestern, Iowa, and Texas Tech.

Some of you think we're going to get 3-4 4* players. I hope you're right, but based on our current class, we have 0. So the likelihood of getting 3-4 is a little ambitious. Just my simple opinion.

Why don't we just wait until Feb to find out where we end up.

No I did not say that....I said they will all get bumped to 3*** and 5 or so to 4**** that is what I said reading is fundamental. If you do not agree so be it

Well Rene is a lock. That's one.
Pridgeon is a very good bet. That would be two.

So all it would take is one surprise like JovanI Haskins to get to three. Possible.

Actually 31 for Wisconsin is good based on historic track record. Wisconsin gets it done with great player development and system which includes huge OL that grinds you down. They've never been a superb recruiter.
I always thought we recruited better than Wisky and Iowa/Nebby?Their know for developing and great walk on programs..never recruiting juggernauts !! I think top thirties for Wisky is better than usual?

I thought we already had a few under rated 3 stars that will eventually be 4s even before Rene.3/4 makes perfect sense.

None of our three stars will he bumped to four stars.

The only rutgers recruit in the entire history of rivals to get such a bump was Jonathan Hilliman.

Hell Chuck Snorweah was a high three star who had a senior season for the ages in which he smashed all records and ran for ten quadrillion yards and eleventy seven touchdowns and didn't get bumped.

It is very very rare.

Yeah, anyone who has ever followed college football recruiting knows that Wisconsin recruits a specific style/all-in type recruit, many who are not highly ranked but do very well in a team environment.

High rankings certainly help some teams...but it obviously doesn't help others (i.e. like Texas et al).
