Franklin will try to make a statement to the Jersey players, so let's hope we have a decent showing. Barkley hasn't done much the last couple of weeks and is out of the Heisman convo, but he will try to make a statement to the school he de-committed from. So will Blacknall. I hope we come on a corner blitz the first play and hit McSorely hard. He's banged up a bit from the last three weeks (UM, tOSU, MSU), so putting a few helmets on him will slow their progress.

With our style of play on O that is an awfully big line.

Barkley has played us 3 times already. So has Blacknall... neither will try to “make a statement” they decommitted so long ago they probably don’t care. Barkley is trying to be a top 5 draft pick, probably why he wants to make a statement every game

James Franklin looks like a flaccid pecker. He's looking to make a statement that last week was just shrinkage.

If we can't throw, which we haven't yet shown that ability, we won't get first downs and Anderson will again be our most noticeable player.

In fairness we haven't shown much ability to catch either.
Pedd State's qb is pretty good and Barkley is real, real good. And i'd love to hear who exactly is gonna lock-down their tight end.
I'm not going to this one. I've suffered enough.

If this game was played 2 weeks ago the spread would have been RU +33-38. Getting the devils -28.5 was easy money for some people. I love us and despise them but I would sign up right now to hold them under 50 and to score at least 7 points.

We won't win obviously but we need to stand Toe to toe and deliver punch fir punch and that will be our statement.

Maybe if Grant plays and Pedd St. turns the ball over a few times.

This is the 1st legitimate passing offense RU will face since the injuries in the secondary. Hard to believe PSU is 79th in the nation rushing the ball.
KO coverage was lights out against MD. Need them to come through this week.
Wonder if Ash gives Turay, KJ and Grant the week off to prepare for the stretch run. Not sure if any of them will be ready to go anyway.
If Lewis can go, wouldn't mind seeing him give Gio a breather now and then.
Need to take a shot or 2 downfield to Melton. He has elite speed and will face a lot of one on one coverage this week. He torched his defender last week deep. Gio has to complete that pass.
This is a no lose game for RU. They should be loose and dangerous. PSU should be tight and a little down. It would be nice to punch them in the nose a few times.
Would love to see them sweat in the 4th quarter.

You're talking about a team that is extremely angry and frustrated after two VERY close losses, including one on the road to a team that beat us 56-0 at home. Throw in Franklin's obsessive need to pile on, they're at home, etc., and I'd be mighty worried about this one.

You're not going to stay close to Penn State with another 100-yard passing game.

If with all of that, assuming it's a decent weather day, we stay within four touchdowns, I'll be pretty happy.

How do you know PSU is angry and frustrated? Sounds like they are not focused on the task at hand, the current game. Michigan State appears to be a bigger problem for RU:

Their own coach said the same thing (wonder how his players will react to their head coach throwing them under the bus):

We are not winning this game, but perhaps we can actually beat the spread like we did with Michigan? Maybe?
