THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-ILLINOIS PREDICTION THREAD

From a betting perspective stay away from this game. Just for fun I'll say Illinois 28 and Rutgers 35. Go RU!!

This might be the last winnable game depending on how the team performs.

Rutgers 17- Illinois 14

Illini 6 - RU - 0. Until we prove we can score a point on offenseI am not taking any chances.

Should petition the NCAA for a special ruling - the first team to score WINS. Maybe it will be us if we don't have to play a full game. We need a change of pace.
I think ILL will kick a field goal, but it won't count. Then we score for the win. RU. 6. ILL. Nothing
Happy Days are here again !!!!

The football gods owe us one. Illinois bangs one off the left upright and RU holds on for a 16-14 win in front of 46,414.

RU's players are going to come out angry and looking to shut everyone up.

Compared to the last couple games, the OL will feel like they have gained 100 pounds of muscle and will be road-paving while Martin, Goodwin and Snead (in garbage time) run wild.

Our WRs will suddenly discover that all the hard work they've put in over the past three weeks has paid off as they constantly find themselves wide-open within two seconds of each passing play. Laviano's problem won't be finding an open receiver, it'll be choosing among them (and completing the passes).

Lovie's staff will make the mistake of attempting to do what OSU and Michigan were able to do against our D, but without the players to do it. Our D will get a shutout in the first half and only give up 10 in the second half, with 7 coming late in the game (garbage time).

RU wins: 38 - 10.

Okay, fine; I admit that's not a prediction per-se. It's more what I hope will happen. And I'm sticking with it unless we hear more dire news from the medical staff.

Rutgers triples its 2016 average BIG 10 offensive out put.

Picked RU preseason, sticking with that. But only because I'm bringing my kid. He's 6-0 all time.

Going ugly score: 12-11

Ever hear the old adage. speed kills. Well Illinois doesn't have much. We go from playing a Ferrari to an 1969 Oldsmobile. Everything is going to seem to have magically fixed itself(well maybe except QB, they're beyond lost). Huge difference between playing the #2 and #4 teams to playing one in the 80's to 90's range. We punch in the Iowa missed opportunities this game.

RU 24-17.

The Defense will be stout. We will move the ball this week. Martin goes over 120 yards rushing and RU puts an end to the misery. Ru 20 - Illinois 16

Illinois 34
Rutgers 6

Laviano under 100 yards passing and gets sacked 5 times

No shot 50k tickets sold. I think we will win to be honest. No score prediction.

I'd like to see the injury report. If we have Hester back it could make a big difference IMHO.

Illinois 24
Rutgers 3

12 straight quarters with no touchdowns.

Laviano stat line 4-11, 33yds, 1 INT, 4 Sacks
