It's hard to even fathom the incompetence that just happened at the end of that game. The timeout was absolutely abysmal. No reason for it. 57 yards is incredibly long. Don't let them rethink it! It reminded me of Greg 1.0 when WVU was planning on punting but instead threw an 80 yard TD because Greggie called a timeout. (Full transparency, I don't remember the details of the play, just that it was arrogance and stupidity by Greg that caused it.)
And the the TD. How? Like seriously, how? Even if you give up the reception, make a tackle and they likely run out of time before they can set up for a kick. Why put your secondary at risk like that?

How does a coach steal victory from his own team! Why tf are you calling a timeout to ice a 58 yard kick into the wind? Game would’ve been over. F’n screwed his own team. I feel bad for the players especially the seniors who were seconds away from a win over a top 25 team.

The timeout was probably not the right call but it’s the insane send the house blitz on 4th and 13 with no timeouts. Even a completion for a first down sends them into a frenzy to get the kick off

Why? They are who we know they are. An average team with average to below average coaching they dont deserve votes. They are as my kids would say "mid"

We lost to what was essentially a Montana to Rice last second score for the win. I’m gutted - we all are - but can live with this today. RU played it’s heart out.
That last play alone should send him packing. That's flat out malpractice.
Well the clock would stop on a first down and depending on how far it went they could have time for a spike. There was still 4 seconds left after the YAC yards on the TD.

Good old GS , always finding new ways to lose & to disappointment the diehard RU fan , I thought being so far away would lessen the disappointment when we lose but it never does, it’s like February in New Jersey it just keeps coming back year after year & never gets better.
Really unforgivable. Defense was a weakness all year. AND I was believing that we could actually go to a decent bowl this year. Detroit here we come. Really disappointed with this loss. The offense did everything needed to win.
Who’s more of a troll? A fan mad after a loss or a guy with over 55,000 posts on a sports message board who spends ~half of them reminding us how he doesn’t get emotional about watching sports.

That's when a timeout should have been called, when they decided to go for it. Settle everyone down and reset the defense. We went from a big Senior day celebration to the worse loss in a very long time.

You can't call two timeouts in a row anymore. It's a penalty. He called the timeout on the botched kick, then he couldn't call a timeout when Butthead ran his offense on the field.
I’m probably like mildone in being dispassionate most of the time (i was in shock though) but sports is emotional and if there’s a place a fan should release that emotion from joy to frustration to anger or what have you a messageboard like this should be it. This a place to celebrate and commiserate and vent with other fans, everyone should feel what they feel. It’s harmless.
