Agree. But that's what happens when you have those 2 players and surround them with a bunch of high school level players. And then don't run an offense and make defense optional. This season is an epic failure.
Anyone that thinks pike deserves this job must be a braindead moron or someone with a learning disability at this point. With our recruiting and our development there is literally zero hope in him ever doing anything meaningful in this NIL world. He can't identify transfers and he sure as shit can't keep them. Hell, he lost omoruyi before transferring was even a popular thing.

Agreed that team sucked. Alot of teams that we played have sucked. We just make them look better than what they are
No shit sherlocks....the only reason why RU was in the game was because of Ace...but his 30 points and his antics underscore the issue the program has faced this year showcasing 2 nba top 5 prioritizing them over a ncaa tourney appearance and the failure by Pike in the portal and perhaps most importantly...the lack of team ball

Don't agree with this. They're scoring now and we're losing. What we need is them scoring a little less and the other players scoring more. Not related, but Acuff can no longer play at this level. When he's in its like we have four guys in at both ends of the court. Anyway, it all comes down to Pike unable to do his job.
Yes I think it’s a good mature team. Look they have one bad loss at home to Indiana which isn’t even that bad. Penn state shot 3-21 from 3 that night. They were hot tonight. It happens. They lost to Oregon by one. They beat Purdue. They took sparty to the wire. They certainly are capable so this result should not surprise anyone imo.
Said that from the very beginning RU & RU media made this about 2 players and disregarded the other 13 on team. Nobody will want to hear this but team will be better w/o 2 NBA draft picks. This program does not have the maturity & culture to have 2 players of this caliber on it and be successful. JMO
For the record, Peacock never went out for me.... I was joking that some people in the thread seemed to have missed swaths of the game (namely the two injuries).
This was not a good team we played tonight. We had our best scorer on fire - this should have been an easy win.

Pike is the head coach so ultimately he’s responsible but every loss isn’t due to coaching nor is every win. Sometimes guys just play like shit and you can’t explain it. You and some others attribute every loss to coaching. That’s not logical.
Yes. Agree. Get back to his basics. Hard working, under recruited players that built this program with him, that’s what we need to get back to,
If that doesn’t work..then sure, he should be on the hot seat. But he’s not going anywhere anytime soon ( unless it’s his choice)
I only saw the last ten minutes or so after getting back from my own game, but that ten minutes basically sums up the experience of being led by freshman. Good and bad, sometimes at the same time.
Game came down to 4 things for me:
1. Turnovers - just brutal all game and kept killing momentum.
2. Fouls - PSU got an extra 13 FTA, and outscored us at the line by 11
3. 3P shooting - PSU was hot (47.6%) and we were not (33.3%)
4. Maturity - Seniors (with a deep bag of tricks) vs. Freshmen

Appreciate the offer but I am not expecting good things vs MSU and given your rants during this game when things aren’t going well I wouldn’t find that enjoyable. With that said thanks for going and supporting the team.

Have u ever sprained your ankle like that? I did exactly what he did stepping on another players sneaker and it swelled up for 8 months and was not able to walk on it for 3 weeks.. The fact that he stayed on the court is nothing short of amazing to me. I'd be shocked if he doesnt miss games that was a bad one. I did it 30 yrs ago and to this day if I step off the sidewalk onto grass it rolls there is no ligament.
I talked about Indiana. They lost to 3 top 15 teams two of which were on the road and the home game vs Oregon they lost by 1.
They’re a solid team. They’re harder to defend than Nebraska. PSU beat Purdue at home and would have beaten Oregon if not for a late game melt down.
I think 8-4 with a few tourney wins could get us in depending on the 8 wins. If we end up beating MSU, illinois, Michigan as part of the 8 wins it’s going to help a ton

Is he also not responsible for roster construction? Meaning, besides not coaching up the players playing like shit, he is also responsible for bringing them in thinking they wouldn't play like shit? Just asking for clarity
