That’s just a game you have to win in our position. Probably the most winnable away environment we’ll play in all year against an average PSU team down a starter. Wasted Ace playing maybe the best game i’ve ever seen(minus the dumb technical at the end). Just a brutal loss
The bottom line is, if you can't handle having superstar freshmen then you shouldn't recruit them. And if you do and you miss the tournament (for the third time in a row) then you should be fired. End of story

listen we folded when it mattered...up 3 with the ball they went on 11-0 run where we didnt score for over 4 minutes. Then they close it out with poise.....yeah i think they wanted it more..and this goes back to first half where Dylan sleptwalked BEFORE his injury
This game was a microcosm of our season. So much potential and flashes of some really good things, but ultimately lack of anybody else stepping up and immaturity ruled the day.
NCAA season is over. These guys will not play in the NIT. Ace is full of himself. We sold our season to the devil

They beat Purdue almost beat Oregon. Took Michigan state to the wire. They’re certainly a capable team. People thinking this is some kind of gimme are seriously delusional

That’s ridiculous. Ace balled out and got no help once again. How about Dylan shooting 3-11? JWill with 5 TO’s. Sure he made a couple mistakes but the tech was soft (Konan Niederhauser taunted on a block earlier in the game but no technical foul called) and there are a million other reasons why they lost
JD has generally come in as a guard. Martini and Grant traded minutes at the four.
As crazy as it is, JD was our second best guard tonight. And even crazier, he wasn't that far behind a poorly performing Harper.
While we were outplayed for a stretch, teams go on runs and winning the rebounding battle so decisively is usually a sign of a high energy performance, so I disagree on who wanted it more. If Harper was 100% (he wasn't - he maybe had one drive in the 2nd half and didn't score a point) and Ace doesn't take those two terrible fouls, marring a brilliant game with 30 on 13-15 and 7 boards, I think we win.

Pike took Ace out, PSU went zone, Pike didn’t call a TO to get Ace back on the floor or to reset the team against the zone. That was the game. Bad coaching.

I don't know who wanted it more, but we saw this template in the St. Johns game. We are immature, have not grown up and struggle to close out games.
Ace Baldwin won this game for penn state in many ways. He was a man...i follow college hoops..i could give a shit about nba dunks, shots or draft positions, next year Ace aint here and we arent making the tourney this year
