@zappaa called this early in the game it looked like he was out of it. He just stood around.
I wish the ball found its way to our Ace when it was 73-70, even though Dylan was wide open. He was off tonight, especially once he twisted his ankle. Oh well. Game was lost on turnovers with an assist by a career 29% 3Pt shooter managing to go 4 for 4 tonight for them.

Baldwin decided to bait Ace and flop when Bailey was chirping in his ear at the FT line on the prior possession. It was def a silly foul but not a T. And refs went along with it.
Can we get notre dame Dylan back and combine him with this version of Ace. That would be something.

Ace kept RU in the game. No help! Would have been a 40 point loss without Bailey! How about Pike being clueless with his player rotation. He needs to shorten his bench and play the hot hand. Pike has reached his apex.
Exactly, Dylan was bad all night, even BEFORE he turned his ankle he had no aggression at all. The dude has not been the same since he tweaked his right leg/got the flu. He showed up for a game against Nebraska but played like one of our scrub transfers tonight. In a must win game (and an easy game in comparison in comparison to what remains on the schedule) he was a total no show.

Once again we had more talent and lost. I hate to say this, but I really think Pike might be dumb. Regardless, he's now 10 games over .500 with one post season win in nine years, and if Geo didn't develop his step back jumper Pike might have a losing record. Enough, come up with the money.

Maybe we match up well but I am never ever impressed watching Penn State. We lost to a very mediocre team today in front of 5k people.
If we’re being honest, the season died at Prudential Center just before Christmas. Anyone with visions of a 14-4 regular season finish or a run in the B1G tourney was dreaming. This is a “team” of 2 all-world players and a whole lot of spare parts playing above their heads. The good-will bank is also nearly overdrawn with this HC.
Every time we lose a tough one like this it’s always so clear how disgustingly bad the rest of our roster is outside the freshman.

I've never seen so many people that know nothing about basketball but are caught up in the hype with 2 NBA draft picks. Even Bardo is less than bright. Team ball wins games. The difference is that when the blue chips get them they have to play team ball.
1) we dribble way too much
2) we do not move w/o ball
3)we do not cut to basket
4) we could have a guy who shoots 3 at 2% and we'll put him in corner to shoot 3's
We will score alot more points moving w/o ball and cutting to basket than dribbling all over the place and housting shots we cannot make
Dude at sports desk after laker game said it best....nobody is watching the games because NOBODY wants to pay to go to game or watch guys take 30 shots and miss 20 of them. If you are a 25% 3 pt shooter you shouldnt be shooting 3's. Our team is becoming unwatchable. He also said instead of guys passinto big man posting up for easy 2 they'd rather hoist up a 30fter and expect the big man to get the rebound
Im not blaming Ace but just getting sick of this season being about these 2 and not the school. Who cares about headlines and crazy dunks when we lose? Seriously. IDGAS. I want to win and go to the tournament.
Bottom line Rutgers isn't going to win when Bailey and Harper aren't both scoring.Bailey has another outstanding performance scoring 30 points but Harper was a no show because of a injury.A winnable game turns out to be another disappointing loss.Scoring droughts,too many turnovers and foul shots by Penn State in the last five minutes were the main reasons for the loss.The inability to make 3 pointers once again comes back to haunt Rutgers.Harper injuries/illness are really impacting team performance.The rest of the team can't be depended on to score on a consistent basis.
Pinning this loss on Ace is comical. They’re not even even this game without his ridiculous shooting tonight. And Both Ts were questionable. Cooper Flagg literally did the same after a poster last game and no call. That’s one you let go. The 2nd was a common foul. Baldwin flopped. A lot of other blame to go around other than him
Rutgers was better but they blew the game, couple techs basically was the difference. Poor officiating against Rutgers.

The nail in the coffin was down 3 like a minute 20 left all we need is a basket to make a 1 pt game and we hoist a 3pt by DH. A possible 1 pt game turns intonation 5 pt game.... Just needed a basket. Just gotta play SMART BALL
