THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-OHIO STATE PREDICTION THREAD

I haven’t seen Ohio State play this year, and I have no idea what will happen, but if we can steal this game and start the Big 10 season off 2-0, will we be sitting in incredible shape.

Would be shocked to see Paul off the bench

Simpson is the perfect off the bench energy and scoring spark. That role is perfect for him as a freshman. For now at least
I am worried about a defensive lineup that has Cam, Paul and Hyatt. I also like Hyatt starting because I fear coming off the bench he’ll try and do too much on offense.

I also think it would/could be wise limiting Paul minutes because of the shoulder.

I still see Paul Cam Caleb Mag Cliff as the starting 5

If Paul's minutes are still limited maybeee he comes off the bench, but I expect it to more be like Caleb where he came off the bench first game back then into the starting

I also don't like the concept of Hyatt hijacking a starting spot for fear of him trying to force things if he isn't starting. He needs to adjust to his role off the bench or lose minutes if he comes in and becomes a black hole turnover machine

I do wonder if Pike attempts to limit the minutes that Paul and Cam are on the floor together by making sure Cam is on the court when Paul isn't. Cam can also help with ball handling when Paul is out to take some pressure off Simpson

RU 69
Ohio State 66

Best of Luck,

Coming off big win. Away game at a ranked opponent. Not this time.

Ohio State 64
Rutgers 51

OSU 66 RU 61. We lead for 75% of the game before OSU takes over late. Not the biggest deal in the world as long as we come home and beat SHU and Wake

Road games Rutgers has difficulty scoring 65 points because of the lack of 3 point scoring.

Ohio State 71-Rutgers 64

I think we win with the same ease as Indiana. The confidence is growing and Caleb and Paul are settling influences. Caleb continues to impress on both sides of the ball, The good Cam returns, Cliff plays a great game and we emerge with a nice road win. 70-58

This is the type of game that I'm so incredibly sure that RU has no shot that I bet on the opponent and RU wins. I'm not going out of my way to bet this one so OSU 69 RU 58

Bo Boroski retired, right? He was Ohio State's MVP when we played them there two years ago. Maybe we have a shot. Nobody thought we would win at Wisconsin last year

Vegas says Bucks -5.5 and 137.5. I'll take the parley with RU and the over.

Against Miami I had no idea
VS Indiana I was certain we would lose

My prediction….a certain loss (despite having no idea)

I was joking, but I don’t know how we did overall at IU last year other than those guys being clutch. I will say this, I like our chances at the line this year more than in past years.
Hyatt and Cliff did not miss late

does Simpson start over Cam with Mulcahy? it's headed that way.

put Simpson on their freshman Thornton, who can shoot. Mulcahy on McNeil. Caleb on Sueing, who is not their best shooter, but def their glue guy.
Start the more experienced guy
We don’t want too much pressure in the frosh

This isnt the same experienced OSulU team we are used to facing. Vulnerable at this point in the season even at home

Ohio St goes 9 deep, 5 in the 20s, 4 in the teens
Ohio St, 4 top 100 freshman contributors
Zed Key(3rd yr), Justin Sueing(6th yr) the only returning players from 21-22.
Sean McNeil(WVU, 3 yrs 10.1pts, 10.4 22-23), Tanner Holden(Wright St, 3yrs 15pts, 5.0 22-23), and Isaac Likekele(Okla St, 4yrs 8.6pts, 4.5 22-23)
They don't steal many passes, 358th 4.0 a game, but only 11.5 TOs a gm.
Very good rebounding team. Not tall but wider team
Ohio St is a top 5/10 in offense efficiency, not as strong defensively.
Rebounding will be the key.

Rutgers 68
Ohio St 63

Did something happen with a fan and PM? Looked like he was trying to tell the ref soemthing.
