is the fact that we do not depend on any one thing to be good. Some teams depend on the 3, for other teams its their big man, for still others it's their guard play; with Rutgers, it's a lot of things. We rebound on both ends of the floor, play tough defense, make the extra pass, and we generally play smart basketball, even for a team that doesn't shoot well. We may not necessarily be a great team, but we are a good team, with the potential to be a very good team as the season wears on.
I was at Rutgers during the Littlepage Era, and that was bad basketball, but I did get to experience the '89 team my senior year, so it's been a long time waiting to get back to the NCAA's, and although there's still a long way to go, at least we have something to cheer for at mid-season. We need to keep packing the RAC at every home game to give us that edge!
