Bad loss vs PSU in a must win game for the program, didn’t show up @Ind in another important game for regular season standings and B1G tourney seeding, blow a lead down the stretch and get steamrolled by a conference nobody.

Any momentum gained by wins vs. OSU, Minn, @Iowa, etc. is gone. Don’t bother saying or thinking otherwise, this is what it is.

Come back next year with a bunch of returning players and be better. Anything less than a NIT bid will be a disappointment.

Otherwise.

I agree totally with your last sentence. But who cares about momentum? Did a nice but meaningless Big Ten Tournament last year help us in December?

Awful job down the stretch. Just horrible. But we are in better shape now than a year ago. No reason to forget that

Have you ever consider changing your moniker to "not really a Rutgers fan"....?

Think that maybe Issa, by all accounts, a very nice guy, suddenly snapping and doing very bad things, being removed from the team and now facing deportation--all in the span of a few days--had anything to do with it? Nah, just move on. He wasn't effective, anyway.

Good way to destroy any and all momentum heading into the offseason. So disappointed in our players that they couldn't play when it mattered.

PSU and IU were 2 of the hottest teams in the nation (ave AT IU, senior day, following the Issa Incident). Yesterday we wilted in the last 5 of each half so THAT I’ll hold the team and staff accountable for but, otherwise, I CAN NOT WAIT for next season!!

I refused to put any expectations on this year's team, even when we were surging. Lots of chatter about NIT and even NCAAs this year. I said forget about post-season this year and enjoy the ride.

Next year, different story. I expect results. The NIT is a reasonable expectation IMO. Anything less should be met with harsh criticism.

I love that poster- he's always telling us what we can and can't think or say. I am as disgusted as anyone about how the season ended, but you cannot deny there was progress this season and that we have a good foundation to build on.

It was a bunch of things- that included. Another factor, and I think someone else mentioned this after the PSU game, was that we couldn't handle playing the role of favorite in the PSU and Nebraska games. It may have been a foreign concept to this team, but it's something they will need to figure out because they are not sneaking up on anyone anymore.

Momentum going into off-season means nothing. Did doing well in MSG help us against the first real opponent we faced? Nope.

Yeah, who needs good publicity? It's not like anyone enjoyed reading about our run in the big ten tourney behind sanders last year.

Put basketball away until November. Go find another crying & bitching towel. Football is about to move to the forefront again. Golf anyone? in

If you said what you said with a little class nobody would make fun of you.it was a tough end to the season after some quality wins. That’s the game.

Wheels falling off????? The wheels fell off when we beat Minny the last BIG game under Eddie to go 1-17 in BIG!!! Now, the wheels are firmly on, we got the right players on the bus and the right bus driver. It’s a journey to rebuild this program. 5 BIG sellouts and it’s a good time to get season tix.If you can’t get excited about the development of this team, it’s youth and team chemistry, you may want to follow another sport.

Nah ... looks like that is what lacrosse might be this season!

Beat Cuse!

Think what you want, but the facts are they way this season ended overshadows what some believe we accomplished.

I can say that because RU has a track record of underachieving. Come back next year, go 17-13 (8-12) at minimum and I’ll be proven wrong. Anything less and it’s just another season with a lot of talk and not much on the court to back it up.
