If deflating the ball does give an advantage. Why not let every team do it this year if they want to?
To keep an even playing field?..........

How does the evidence you cited implicate Brady? The ball boy yes, but how Brady?Lots of evidence. What else do you need to hear? If you read some of the report, you would see there is lots of evidence. Just look at the text messages. How's this for evidence, McNally took the balls from the officials without their knowledge, against normal procedure, something the officials said had never happened to him before, and ducked into the bathroom with the balls. I don't know about you, but If I was going into the bathroom, I might leave 2 large mesh bags of balls outside. But anyway, the balls that were tested and approved by the officials suddenly lost between 1 and 2 psi? Circumstantial, yes, but add it all up and its clear What Brady had the guys do and then when confronted, lied about it. Its always the coverup that gets you.
I don't think the crime was that great, had he fessed up immediately, I think this would be long over with. Maybe he would have gotten a fine, but that probably would have been it. But now that the NFL spent a fortune on a 273 page report, and its obvious Brady Lied, they have to do something. Brady brought this on himself by not coming clean originally.
CBSSports reporting that a one-year suspension for Brady is being considered, in large part because he refused to fully cooperate with the investigation. That might get some folks' attention.

+1 the lying is 100x worse than the misdeed.add me to that list too, who cares if the ball had less air. This isn't a corked bat, does anyone really think this makes all that much difference in the level of play?

That's Ok, bring on the punishment! Let the Jimmy Garoppolo era begin!
This gets me thinking to Christie and the bridge lane closures. Some on the thread think that since Brady didn't turn over phone records he is guilty, does that mean that Christie is guilty for the dozens of things that he hasn't turned over his phone and email records for, even though he is required to do so by law?We should hold professional athletes to a higher standard than politicians?

Maybe that's why Christie has spoken out to defend Brady. Birds of a feather and all. This gets me thinking to Christie and the bridge lane closures. If you thought the game was clean you must have had your head in the sand. Have you not noticed the number of PED suspensions that are doled out each year? And keep in mind that HGH wasn't against league rules until last year. If you are looking to the NFL for anything but entertainment you are looking in the wrong place.
Umm, the Cowboys wouldn't punish the Cowboys??? Pay attention son, the NFL docked the Cowboys of $10 million in salary cap space just a few years back. Most teams pump in noise after the play which is allowed. The Falcon were pumping in noise during the play, huddle and pre snap which is not.I went to a cowboys game last season (vs. Giants) and they most certainly pump in fake crowd noise too, to me it was a very obvious distinction from the actual crowd noise, which generally followed the prompting from the fake stuff. You can bet they'll never get caught/punished.
Pay attention son, I didn't say the noise was after the play, now did I? The Cowboys were docked due to fake crowd noise? I think not. Not relevant to my post.Umm, the Cowboys wouldn't punish the Cowboys??? Pay attention son, the NFL docked the Cowboys of $10 million in salary cap space just a few years back. Really??? The Falcons lost a draft pick for pumping in sound. Don't you think this is worse as it actually affects performance?
