Another weather failure. Weather was brutal and saying some gusts doesn’t cut it. Wind was a constant. Much colder less sunny.
Back to the drawing board. You can not claim this forecast was accurate except for the dry part. Last two games missed the boat. Sorry weather guys.
Do appreciate the effort. Although 24 hours later I am still defrosting.
Now you're just acting like a dick, so why even bother saying you "appreciate the effort?" Forecast was nearly perfect. What I said (mostly from the NWS) is exactly what transpired, especially with regard to the winds. For the 2 days before the game, I said we'd have up to 20 mph sustained winds (that means constant) with gusts to 30+ mph making the temps in the mid-40s feel like temps in the low/mid-30s and that's exactly what we got.
I even said the winds would be like they were in the Cuse game from 2003. I also kept changing the thread title to note the increase in winds, as the forecast evolved (changing it to "windy" 2 days before the game and "windy" means >20 mph winds). What more should I have said to make you feel prepared for the winds? And the rest of the forecast - temps, precip, wind chills, level of sunshine - were all spot on.
