The irony is the classic Schiano faux Michigan State uniforms were not great either. Liked the classic uniforms, not the helmets, of the Graber/ Marco era.
The ones based on the SanFran 49'ers?
This. Some people pretend to have inside info...but no facts. So after reading every post I still don't see any proof we are changing the uniforms

yes. The rumor started from comments made by Flood during one of those diners. But, until we get a press release from Nike talking about how the white pants represent the white horses that knights rode, etc, it is just rumors for now.
The big issue here was money - remember, this was prior to the Big Ten invite, where money was a crucial issue, especially with the press baying about the "subsidy". So there was a completely different dynamic going on as compared to now, when we know we're going to get the full share for a Big Ten member in a couple of years.I know multiple people have said they were Schiano's uniforms...and given the timeline, it does makes perfect sense that they were in fact his idea...But I just cannot get over the fact that he would approve that crap...He was all about plain/simple/block R (Penn State-esk), very Chris Ash like in the detail sense. The uniforms just always seemed like a complete 180 from Schiano which is why I guess everyone (including me) assumes the finishing touches were brought on by Flood.
Explain to me what money has to do with this? We aren't some youth program having a bake sale to raise funds. We are a Nike school and they provide the uniforms. The big issue here was money - remember, this was prior to the Big Ten invite, where money was a crucial issue, especially with the press baying about the "subsidy". It's America, you have the right to be wrong.Doesn't matter: those uniforms were designed by Schiano, not Flood.

Dude, they were Schiano's choices.....
Ok, I can respect if you don't want to give up your source. Can you rate your source on a scale of, say, one to five stars to let us know how confident you are about the information? Not pretending fool

Do we really care about uniforms? Shouldn't we focus on recruiting, facilities, and things that help us win? ?
Well I'm glad you've accepted that about yourself. It's America, you have the right to be wrong.
But I didn't have vision problems untill Greggie got involved with the design.:)That is very good news especially for the older guys with vision problems.

No. But at least I'd like to feel that I am rooting for the same team that I did in college! Not some sci-fi parody of a knight in salmon pajamas!Do we really care about uniforms? Shouldn't we focus on recruiting, facilities, and things that help us win? Do uniforms make us faster, bigger, and better play makers?
All white is classy and looks fantastic if done properly. The further away we get from the "power ranger" look, the better, and it can't come soon enough IMHO!
Let's not go back to boring unis .The irony is the classic Schiano faux Michigan State uniforms were not great either. Liked the classic uniforms, not the helmets, of the Graber/ Marco era.
The last remnants of the Flood error are being swept under the rug!
Flood used them and kept them for 4 seasons. Those ugly uniforms became symbolic of those ugly years. You do realize the recent uniforms were Schiano's
Thinking anything is bad-ass makes it not "bad-ass."Wish the Black Uniform was our home uniform. I know, know, we're the Scarlet Knights, but I just think they're badass.
What was the tweet?Edit: Mehringer has now deleted that tweet. Hmmmm.
I find this tweet interesting. Look at the uniform poking out from underneath the armor. The Nike swoosh on our current home uni's is silver/chrome. Clearly white here.
What was the tweet?
Interesting....wonder why he would delete itPicture of an armored up Knight. Said "Unleash your inner Knight" and "Rutgers Football 2016." But in between the chest and the shoulder plate of the knight was a red jersey (brighter and more vibrant than the current shade of red on the uni's) and a white nike swoosh.
