Upon Further Review...

...this report reads pretty ugly.

My gut tells me that there's good possibility that this 3 week suspension is an opportunity for Rutgers to finish up their HR paperwork. I think he could be done.

Would not be surprised at all...

Let's hope your gut is right. Flood did real bad here. His reputation as a man of great character and integrity is tarnished. How does he come back and face the team after joining the bad boy brigade himself?

I'm not a good gif person, but is there a good one for "how f***in stupid do you have to be???????????"

I'm amazed Kyle Flood made the decisions he made.

I don't think he is done, but I have really revised by initial opinion and anger at the administration. He basically forced them to punish him. He highlighted his knowing intent to break rules in writing, met with the teacher after being told not to, and admitted that he edited the student's paper! WTF is he thinking. The school had to do something or the faculty would lose their minds.

Boy, you must have to be cleaning your screen right now.

that's why blind faith wont get you anywhere. Even I wasn't expecting to read such damning things in the report. I agree..he is gone, one way or another and RU isn't going to have to pay much to get rid of him

Its what happens when you hire someone who isn't qualified at this level and who pays attention to details..it was amateur hour with him and this goes to stuff on the field, recruiting, and now this.

This really should cement Pernetti's legacy here.

Forget the rule breaking, I have a hard time thinking that someone who could do something this stupid could be an effective HC.
Agreed, the report paints a portrait of an arrogant and bull-headed man. Now we know why he sticks with his QB decision no matter what.

I agree.

He's done.

Greg is up in Bristol doing TV all day...do we still have that red helo on standby? lol

I hate rumor-mongering, but really... I don't see how this is coincidence. When was the last time Greg Schiano was in an ESPN studio?

That's really my position as well.

Forget the substance. Let's look at the decision making and how his actions reek of desperation.

These are leadership qualities?

My feelings as well. How on earth is this the man for the job?

In short, for me, I did not support Flood the first couple of years. But I think he has learned on the job and gotten better. I thought there was a chance for a good future with him; I grew to support him. Now, I want him gone and think for the good of the program he needs to be fired at the end of the year. If that is the plan, then hopefully the AD's office can spend the next few of months getting support from donors and vetting potential candidates so that we can act quickly and decisively. But, really, who knows?

I just finished reading the whole report.

If he didn't think he was breaking the rules, then why was he sneaking around so much?

It looks like he got off easy if you ask me. The fact that he was so polite in the emails may have saved him for the time being.

However, did he say that he has done this before during that press conference?

To me that tell me that this might be the beginning of the end.

IMHO.

Flood was a desperate coach, with little depth in the defensive backs, he broke the rules. Again, terrible recruiting is starting to show and will be more noticeable next year. Fans are already concerned this year when Carroo and Hamilton aren't playing, well they are gone next year.

Yes that is true same suspension as mike rice

Do not see how Kyle Flood keep his job

Only question is when will
Be terminated?

That's really what it comes down to - not savvy enough, maybe not smart enough.

He's done. Schools and programs look in every nook and cranny to find a way to terminate with cause. Herman has it.

I think it calls for Star Trek Next Gen double face palm....I mean really? This is what Flood thought was a good idea?

Of course, I'm also wondering what the heck was this PT professor thinking to even entertain the meeting with Flood and consider looking at the paper again.

This confirms to me that he is not and was not ready to be a head coach. What head coach has enough time or wants to correct term papers? Seriously!! Don't think he ever thought this gig would last more than 12 months. He was the only coach Schiano didn't want with him in Tampa. This speaks volumes of how inept he really is and was.

I have a feeling the meeting between Flood and Barchi went something like this.....

Sorry but you simply CAN NOT say this today. No, not right now, especially giving shit to someone. Sorry.
I can say it...and in fact, I just did.

Just because you guys don't like him because he doesn't win enough games, doesn't make it right.

He is a very high quality guy, that maybe cares a little too much for his players, and he f'ed up.

But I'll say it again because I fully believe it. Kyle Flood is a high character guy that made s mistake.

If Flood had won more games in his first three seasons, you jokers calling for his head wouldn't be saying shit right now and you all know it.
