UW Tough Opener of Ash Era

Huskies looked good pretty today and UW returns a ton of players. They should be a much better team next year. More will be expected of them in the tough PAC-12 (currently 4-0) in their bowl games. RU will be a decided underdog in the Husky home opener. A tough challenge right out of the gate.

In all likelihood the Ash era starts at no better than 2-4, and frankly 1-5 isnt out of the question at all (probably more likely than 3-3). Maybe there's a reason that he said publically that the program was a disaster. Buys him some time .

And that has exactly what to do with what happens once the game is actually played on the field.

Just trying to temper expectations. I'm a fan of the Ash hire, but I think its a bit much to say we have a "good chance" @Washington. Washington is just starting to hit their stride under their new coach and we have some huge holes on defense.

It is going to be a long year next year. IMO we are back to square one similar to when GS took over. There is going to be a learning curve for the coaches and the players. I think they get their first lesson in Seattle.
