Relax. Its his first practice as a freshman. Who doesn’t get smoked in a PnR once and awhile? Other than Caleb Mcconnell.Ugh

They changed the rule prior to this season. What's up with Martini wearing #99? That's not a legal number in basketball. All numbers need to be between 0-5.
You are correct sir:They changed the rule prior to this season.
Oskar wore 9 last season. You are correct sir:

College Basketball Players Can Wear Digits Above ‘5’ Again | Defector
There’s a big change brewing in college basketball, and it’s a doozy. Referees are going to have to count past five without using their fingers. I’ll explain. The NCAA’s Playing Rules Oversight Panel recently approved multiple rule changes for college basketball next season. The one making the...defector.com
I had no idea.
Funny, that never registered.Oskar wore 9 last season.
And if Ogbole can hold onto the ball the way he just showed in that clip, he’ll be tough to stop down low. He looks pretty fluid and athletic for a guy his size. It's a great pass from JWill.
Just from that short video you get the sense that we have high caliber competitors who’ll push each other for PT. And no Harper yet, so a chance for some other guys to stand out.Now this is a video I could accept people getting excited about. While still just practice, you see some good things, Ace distributing, Ogbole's movement in PnR, Martini shooting. All things we need to see this year.
Ugh

Thing is it isn’t entirely his fault, if his job is to hedge, weak side has to help and bump the roller. Lathan could do better making the pass harder to get off, but not entirely his faultHe can learn and get better by learning from failures - especially in practice.
Plus, you can be sure the full defensive package has not even been talked about yet, let alone practiced: Rotation defense is supposed to help out, coming from either the strong or the weak side, to rotate to cut off the offensive player rolling/cutting down the lane. No doubt that level of defensive sophistication has not been coached for the team yet.Thing is it isn’t entirely his fault, if his job is to hedge, weak side has to help and bump the roller. People keep disregarding Ogbole, but I tell you what... we could do far worse. That dude is huge and moves well. I'm cautiously optimistic. Now this is a video I could accept people getting excited about. He COULD....emphasize COULD be the biggest surprise of the season. That's a friggin grown ass man and he's massive. Who has the balls to get in his way?People keep disregarding Ogbole, but I tell you what... we could do far worse. That dude is huge and moves well. I'm cautiously optimistic.
While I still think we should have gotten a veteran center, I agree, I think he'll be fine in his minutes.People keep disregarding Ogbole, but I tell you what... we could do far worse. That dude is huge and moves well. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I had no hopes for Ogbole this year as I assumed we would get a transfer and he would be a third center. But now it’s clear he is going to play, especially a lot early on in the season. Time to get on board the Ogbole train……fingers crossed he is effective with his size inside. He is going to be one of the biggest players in the Big 10 next season.People keep disregarding Ogbole, but I tell you what... we could do far worse. That dude is huge and moves well. Great stat line for Ogbole would be 18 mins, 7 pts, 9 rebs, 1 block, 3 shots altered in the paint…and many killer screens set.I had no hopes for Ogbole this year as I assumed we would get a transfer and he would be a third center. Would hate to run into one of his screensGreat stat line for Ogbole would be 18 mins, 7 pts, 9 rebs, 1 block, 3 shots altered in the paint…and many killer screens set.
9 boards in 18 minutes would have led the country by almost 4 rebounds per 40 minutes last year.Great stat line for Ogbole would be 18 mins, 7 pts, 9 rebs, 1 block, 3 shots altered in the paint…and many killer screens set.

Fouls, Sommerville and 99.If he got those stats there would be zero justification to limit him to 18 minutes
I said great not average! Some games he’s destined to have 2 pts 2 rebs in 18 minutes. Ebb and flow from game to game…If he got those stats there would be zero justification to limit him to 18 minutes
