I was at the game - Manuel’s shot selection was poor in the first half but as he got comfortable in the game he had some nice plays. Got good seals in the post, had a few very nice finishes. One that stood out was when a defender cut him off from going middle he went baseline under the hoop and reverse jammed under pressure. His defense was solid as to be expected from an athletic big in HS mostly playing in the middle of a 2-3 zone.
That said he would be a project at the next level as I think he would need to add a lot of strength to his lower body and polish his offensive game. His screen setting was very bad which is probably the first thing that will be asked from him after the standard defense and rebounding.
Not sure if we’re still involved for Quinerly butnhe would be a game changer. Seemed almost bored by the game but when they needed points he went and got them, and made some incredible passes in traffic.
Louis King was the real standout, a true wing at 6’8. Started the game with 3 3s and was really smooth all around.
