Walking Dead 2/21 - spoilers

That whole scenario was so.. forced. NFW they both leave the truck to go look at some firecrackers. And before that.. NFW they both go in the truck and leave the car to "pick it up later". They would have had Rick in the car playing is god-awful music and Daryl in the truck playing something better... but if they did that then it would have been easy to follow Jesus when he stole the truck.

F O R C E D... the whole episode.. as was clearing the field for "Richonne".. by killing off the porch dick's wife.

Porch Dick? Do you post on ARFCOM?

I take it you do not regularly watch Talking Dead, where that nickname for Pete was heavily used last season.
No I don't, I've only seen it used at the other site. They were notorious for not using the proper names for characters in discussions.

I do not like the fact Rick and Michonne hooked up.
It doesn't seem believable or natural to me.

Who are all the people who supposedly wanted to see it?
I didn't.

I like both characters better when they are tough and killing, and independent.

They just don't seem to have a natural chemistry together.
It seems forced.

Having found a treasure trove of necessary supplies, the prudent thing to do was to immediately head back to camp. Those supplies could have been extremely useful and possibly used to save lives. They are in a dangerous and precarious world surrounded by zombies, gangs and clans. No one back at the camp would have second guessed their choice of bringing the supplies back to the camp. In fact, many would have applauded their decision. However, the writers have created a thought provoking issue for debate, which may have been their intended result. I found it interesting that after the sinking of the Truck, Darryl and Rick appeared not to care that much. Instead, they were involved with enjoying the candy and soda from the vending machine. I guess if you encountered the same level of trauma, death, and horror as they had, you don't grieve the mere loss of supplies.

Would you also consider that gasoline id the most valuable resource in their situation? Alexandria has a farm (Eugene recommended the type of corn seeds to try to acquire before they left), so food will eventually get produced in the town. However, gasoline is no longer being refined and crude is no longer getting pumped from the ground. Going back to camp could be viewed as a waste of gasoline, especially considering they didn't acquire any seeds for the farm which should have been a higher priority than bringing cases of soda and other snacks back to camp.

The truck, unless I'm mistaken, was filled with cases of soda and junk food. That isn't "supplies". I could imagine that medical supplies (even if it is only aspirin) is much more valuable than the cargo on that truck.

I think you are guilty of knowing it was a TV show. A "They are deciding to push on. Something bad is going to happen" line of thinking. When Rick went our to fight the zombies when the wall came down, did anyone think he was going to buy it? Why not? Because they can't kill off Rick. I think everyone KNEW Deanna was going to die. It wasn't a question of IF, but HOW and WHEN. Was she getting killed by zombies, intruders, or one of Rick's crew? Why? Because the TV show can't have two leaders for any appreciable amount of time because you will lose your audience (unless you make one of them evil).

It frustrated me to no end that Rick and Darryl did not make a bee-line back to camp after finding that unbelievable score. Now that Michonne and Rick hooked up, I wonder if her day's are numbered. His love interests have a habit of dying on the show.
True, but Michonne is the one love interest that can actually take care of herself.

Zombies can walk underwater. They don't breathe. Read a book man. Jeeze.

; )

I wonder if the zombies have the strength to walk across a river with currents. They are very frail looking and usually don't put up much of a fight when attacked. I suppose that they'd be carried by the current and eventually drift their way across.

That's a good point. Maybe just lakes and slow moving rivers - and the ocean bottom - but fish would eat them. Heck fish would probably be snacking on any underwater Zed.
