Watching the Happy Valley film

May I ask you the last time someone came over here and denied paterno's involvement? I read your board and that hasn't been said in years. Any logical pen state fan will tell you that of course Paterno was involved, hell its public knowledge that he reported to his superiors what McQueary had told him.

Yes the State Penn fan base has moved on from Paterno

How about the statue of this guilty party?

Yup sounds like state penn fans are pretty ticked at St Joe!

Sorry if you don't understand why State Penn is hated. Your fan base is mentally ill. If you think Paterno is a scumbag (which he is , and I have news for you he was a scumbag for a long time prior to the sandusky scandal coming to light) then you are are in a VERY small minority of State Penn fans.

So you yell initially bc you say penn state has a culture problem and needed to punish the program and make changes. Then u proceed to yell about the steps they DID make saying they were forced.

At the end of the day there's a pattern here and that pattern is you just like to yell about penn state. If Rutgers could actually beat penn state on the field, u wouldn't shut up about it for a year, ur just looking for reasons to yell about psu and currently with the state of recruiting mixed with on field results, there's literally nothing u can yell about besides Sandusky, I'll try to twist this and say you don't like child abuse so that's why u yell, but if that was the case you would be talking about other organizations all the time that have to deal with this but u don't. Just penn state... Lol
Just pointed out the steps they took supporting child abuse prevention wasn't from the goodness of their heart like the poster I was replying to implied.
Befor the NCAA made them get involved they were involved in
When it comes to football between the schools, I haven't brought up the cover up ion a long long time.I have stuck to just talking football until someone hijacks the thread and the cult come on posting lies.
You don't like the facts I post about Penn St's leadership covering up for Sandusky nor my posting info showing Paterno was involved in that cover up and that his informing his minions what he was told doesn't absolve him from being a major reason Sandusky wasn't arrested till years later for what Paterno knew .

Whine all you like about what I post but answer me this: did Paterno have his football program cut ties to Sandusky's second mile organization while he was still actively involved with it ?
If not, shows what type of person Paterno really was knowing Sandusky was caught molesting a child .

oh please.

The "punishment" did not fit the crime, and it did absolutely nothing to punish the State Penn culture which, other than Sandusky, was the main culprit.

and please don't bring up Flood or any other "situation" at Rutgers. Its like comparing a pop gun to a nuclear explosion.
And here in lies the ultimate issue for a lot of Rutgers fans...the sanctions were intended to set the program back by losing scholarships and post seasons eligibility...because the program didn't succumb to the sanctions and actually in a lot of ways was galvanized with top recruits who wanted to bring the program back to traditional levels it was seen (by some
RU fans) as a "light punishment", however most programs might have collapsed that didn't have the fan support with those sanctions.

Why won't you want to answer my
Question Patrick? Because you don't think Flood promoted a culture that the football program should be punished for? Why wasn't the basketball program sanctioned for a coach abusing players repeatedly? Maybe because the players who would be punished did nothing wrong?

What Paterno gave or did not give to Penn St is immaterial and his won / loss record as the Penn St HC isn't the problem either.
The Problem is : Penn St allowed a child molester to remain free to molest other children and Penn St refused to make sure that molester never did it again after Sandusky was caught .
Joe Paterno played a major role in the cover-up that allowed the Penn St Coach Emeritus to continue molesting children and no amount of good deed spin on your part can change that.

By the way: Penn St is in the forefront of raising child abuse awareness because they were forced to pay a $60 Million fine that would be given to an endowment to support child abuse prevention programs.
That fine was challenged in order to control where the fine would go. Instead of endowing a national child abuse prevention program, the NCAA was taken to court so the $60 million could only be used for child abuse prevention programs in Pennsylvania .
It wasn't the goodness of Penn St's heart that made them start helping child abuse prevention,
it was being forced to start doing that and finding a way to make it look like they were truly concerned about Child abuse .
Penn St wasn't in the forefront of raising awareness for child abuse before the sanctions, in fact they were enabling child abuse and got caught .
Getting caught protecting a child molester is why Penn St now is involved in child abuse prevention and getting involved wasn't what Penn St planned to do when they allowed Sandusky to roam free on the Penn St campus .
MadHat, you keep on referring to Penn State as a whole when saying "enabling a pedipholie", but you do realize 99.999% of PSU fans,
Alumni and supporters were deeply upset when this information came to light correct? Penn state as an academic institution is a lot bigger than a football program...and like free coffee (by the way that's a terrible
Username) said, you can count on your one hand how many people at penn state were even aware there was an issue...
