Hi guys (and girl),

It's been over a year since I came to my fellow Jersey people asking for a good divorce attorney; and one year almost to the day since my divorce was finalized.

A few things I learned:

The court system in this state is beyond skewed in favor of the wife. Even though she bailed for no good reason. (Still never gave me a reason but we can all draw the same conclusion.)

Always sign a pre-nup. Always. Took a big hit financially, but family and personal trusts stayed intact.

In-laws and "friends" will more often than not, turn into scumbags.

Your life will change - forever.

Surround yourself with good people. Team allegiances aside, it's always good to have someone to lean on.

Just when you think you're out of the emotional train wreck, something will remind you of the life you once had.

Finally. keep yourself busy. Watch football. Take up a hobby. Get a dog. Do something to keep your mind off of the bs.

For those of you going/about to go through the big D - hang in there. The good days will start to outnumber the dark days.

Hope to see some of you guys at the RU/PSU game and enjoy some drinks.
