the model for success at ru is wbb. Stringer gets recruits from all over the country....and yes they are 5* recruits . They have admitted that they had never even heard of ru and where it was located. They came because of Vivian,for no other reason. We need the same type of coach for football,if a change is to be made. Anything less and we will be having this same discussion 4years from now. You want a change that will change this current situation.? You need to bring in an urban Meyer,harbaugh name coach. Anything less is spinning our wheels.

This will be the most unique hire for RU. When we were in the Big East some said top coaches wouldn't go to the Big East. In a way, they were right. Top coaches came out of the Big East but didn't go there to coach. Part of the reasoning was even if you won out you would likely be left out of the national title talk.
In the Big Ten, we no longer have that problem. Win out and you are likely in the playoff conversation - especially in our division. Plus if you have an ego, you get to coach against some of the best in college football.
There are plenty of negatives but RU is in a much better position than it has ever been before.
I realize some articles listed RU as one of the worst jobs in the Cobference but if RU could ever open the bank, things would be very interesting.
