we can not coast against Stony Brook

We have a rotation of 8 (DoorSA'n is 1). 3 of those 8 are Eugene, mike and Duke. We have 6 days off.

I'd be shocked if there is an effort issue.

I do agree 100% with your premise that this is a cupcake void of any frosting.

I watched about half of the Providence game.... they were ahead all throughout the second half, then made a few stupid mistakes at the end and blew it....

they should have won.... I have no idea how good
Providence is, but I would wager they were a decent favorite that night.

SB turns people over and all players are capable of shooting 3s. They make them at 36.6%

Them having a 12-27 day from 3 is something that should scare us.

I would not be shocked if this game is within 10 points the majority of the game, one way or the other.

I like our coaching advantage in this one

We cannot take anyone for granted especially with exams just getting finished and our players thinking about seeing their families for the holidays. I'm certain that Pikiell will not want to lose to Stony Brook and will let our players know that. He saw the end of the Providence game and knows how well Stony Brook played yesterday.Games during the holidays are often scary.

This team is not an offensive juggernaut, to say the least. "Coasting" is simply not an option nor should it be. My guess is that our coach allowed these guys to savor the SHU win for the rest of the day and then it is back to work. Incredibly, we really didn't play that well compared to other games.
Bottom line is that our defense has to remain intense while limiting the fouls if we want to keep winning.

this team cannot coast against any team...we saw it earlier this year. Because its such a poor shooting team sometimes that will allow the opponent to hang around especially if we do not get a full 40 minute effort., RU is the type of team that need all the cogs to be working into terms of defense and intensity or it will struggle. Key is to reduce the amount of times that happens. Need to stomp on Stony Brook from the outset. They are 4-8 for a reason but their performances this year say that they are scrappy...they lost to Sparty by 22 and Maryland by 15

If we shoot we win, that’s it. Need to play D like we’ve been playing all season. We only shot 34% against SHU amazingly. If we shoot 42-45% against SB we’ll get it.

we have numerous blown layups and not made contested layups.... if that gets better we will win a lot more..... two of our losses might have been wins without the layup problem
