What Are RU TV Fans Viewing Habits?

I can't watch the game alone - RU loses every time, not just the game but every play of the game (or so it seems). So I either watch games with family or friends or, most frequently, not at all. I have season's tix for the home games so don't miss out on those but only watch road games with other fans.

But I've just eliminated my cable TV package and am now free of the inane programing and the 20 minutes of ads per 60 minutes of program. It is a liberating feeling.

I have one friend I'll watch it with or with my brothers and father. They aren't big Rutgers fans but big sports fans and will be into it with me. I think I prefer to watch on my own though. I remember being a psycho during the big Louisville losses and Fresno St Opener a couple years ago. I was definitely thankful no one was around to watch those with me. I wasn't too happy :joy:

So a lot of loners on this thread. How many like to watch alone so that you can comment on the Scarlet Nation Game thread or start your own threads here?

Me. During the game, I like to be alone. I have the game on and scarletnation forum running on my laptop. I know it's sad. But it's just the way I am...

At home games, we're at the stadium... but I rarely watch televised games with friends.

A lot of the time I end up watching away games on delay after my kids (twin toddlers) have gone to sleep - so, that pretty much guarantees I'm not watching with a group. They're a little older now, so we're going to start exposing them to games more this year, so may actually end up watching them live.

I attend all home games & some road games.

When watching at home in the man cave, prefer alone or with my 15 yr old son. I'm constantly pacing and go nuts on big plays. Always watch the replay during the week, rewinding frequently.

It warms my heart to see I am not alone. I watch most plays standing a foot away from the tv set. When we score I go nuts and when we screw up I am a crazy person. I would not subject any friend to that and I would have no tolerance watching with people who are not really into RU football. I generally can't eat except at half-time but I do reserve the weekend for eating the stuff I try and stay away from during the week.

I am the same way on Sunday with the Giants. Have to watch alone.

I gave up my season tickets after 20+ years because it got to be too expensive; but more because I found that unless you are part of a large group of people and really get into the tailgating, I missed too much watching the game from the stands, so for me the whole experience became not worth the money and the 300 mile round trip.

You can always buy a ticket to a game which I will probably do from time-to-time. But I am going to use the money I spent on paying my way into the yellow lot on a new tv and interesting RU road trips.
