Flood apologists tell us what do you expect; we are only paying him 1 million a year.

Do you need to earn 3 million a year in order Rettig a chance to play? Do you really need to earn 3 million a year to give one running back a chance to get into a rhythm? (My own choice is Hicks but give someone a chance to get going). Do you really need to earn 3 million a year to not break RU rules?

This season is lost not because of money, but because of a stubborn knucklehead coach. And yes, I know he is not coaching tonight but he got the team "ready" and no doubt sticking with Laviano and rotating backs is his plan.

3 million will get you a non-knuckle head coach

You really need to let the RB/QB thing go. It shows a huge lack of football IQ by many posters on here.

We got dominated in the trenches and outcoached scheme wise. Enough w the personell nonsense.

If Flood made more money he would definitely be a better coach and recruiter.

I think we are being told we need to pay $5MM not $3MM for some degree of competence significantly above what HC KF is providing. While I understand the Barchi influence and the low number of significant donors, we can do better than this even if we cannot pay a James Franklin type salary. The funny thing is that we have people who would not want the likes of Charlie Strong and Al Golden. I am even warming to a Schiano return at this point and I had thought he had clearly plateaued when he left. There are few guarantees out there when selecting a coach and less that will consider RU given their constraints but we need to conduct a full blown search and find someone who has a vision on how to get this done that is aligned with what we are willing to provide.
