What I heard......2 top Candidates.....

- None of the top 2 candidates told to me are on Bobby Deren's list - which I must say was quite underwhelming (not disputing the validity) - though I'd be fine with Danny Hurley as HC..

I did not want to post until the EJ situation became official. (On a personal note, I am surprised that EJ was fired as I felt he'd be back next year given the perceived financial constraints at RU and a chance for him to compete with a full and improved roster).

When the new HC becomes official, I'll advise whether he was one of the 2 candidates above.

Sorry for being cryptic and non - disclosing - however I have too much respect for the source - but if either of the candidates he mentioned is hired - we'd all be very happy......

Also, just my opinion, but given what Hobbs has done to date - with Flood and EJ - it's rather apparent - at least to me - that he has "carte blanche" to do what is right and best for RU Athletics with Long Term Objectives in mind - and thus with the candidate who I think is a big time stretch - who knows given Hobbs' support with Barchi; Christie and Trenton.......and Big 10 Revenue Stream down the road....

So you know the top two candidates. When do we get to hear about them from Administration / or media?

What is the timeline for making the decision?

Folks, why do you think the most interesting man in the world is leaving Dos Equis?
Yes he's going to be the next RU MBB HC.
His last statement makes me believe that:
"I don't always coach men's basketball,
but when I do it will be for Rutgers"
