I don't wish to be mean but, that's too funny.Saw it this am on my way into Manhattan for a trip. DISGUSTING. Couldn't believe my eyes.
How is that allowed to happen? This was a Rutgers bar and should be again. NOT PSU.
UGH that started my trip off on the wrong foot.
simple...If they lose enough business they might close and no longer be a PSU Bar.
There are more PSU fans in Hoboken than RU fans. That town is like a giant PSU frat & sorority reunion....Boycott the bar, plain and simple.

If anyone is still in Hoboken that graduated before 2006, it's time to move on.
I see that stupid flag everyday and it bothers me to no end. Such a visible location in NJ!
And there are a lot of PSU fans in Hoboken, but definitely not more than RU - i dont think its even close. Every person that goes to PSU becomes a huge football fan and goes all out every Sat, while the RU fans are still kind of weak in that regard. More and more RU alumns have come up now (since 2006) with a competitive team and football being more a part of their college experience.

I walk by Texas Arizona every morning on my way to the Path/Ferry. Not only do they have PSU flags up hanging over the entrance, they also have a huge banner on the railing facing the Path trains. Basically, when you come up the stairs into NJ off the Path train into Hoboken, the first thing you see is a large blue and white PSU banner.
Cadillac Cantina, which is the same ownership as TA is right next door, and they have RU flags and signs, but it's not nearly as visible as the obnoxious PSU banner. I'd be lying if i said it didn't bug me.
Ridiculous...and wrong.
Perhaps the business owner should cater his bar to a couple dozen rutgers fans, rather than thousands of PSU fans. That would be great for his bottom line and for his restaurant to survive and thrive. I wonder if that's what they teach in the Rutgers business school.
not really interested in getting arrested or walking through town with a large PSU banner.Rip it down.
There are definitely more RU grads in Hoboken. The difference is, the average psu grad is more likely to be a football fan than a Rutgers grad. A lot of it has to do with the demographics. Rutgers is much more diverse. PSU grads are predominantly white middle class.I see that stupid flag everyday and it bothers me to no end. Such a visible location in NJ!

I'm ashamed of our underclassmen. If that happened while I was at RU, that flag would've been in the Hudson within a week's time.I walk by Texas Arizona every morning on my way to the Path/Ferry. Lol...you're wrong. Apparently all the RU
You're being douchy, but your point is valid. Businesses want to make money. RU doesn't have many rabid fans. It used to be worse. I lived in hoboken from 03-06. I remember being in a bar in '03 and having to ask the bar tender if he could put the Army-RU game on the small TV in the corner of the bar for me. Now we at least have designated bars that get packed for games.
