Why Flood will get terminated for cause

exactly, truth be told we really do not know what they are investigating.

Here are the facts I know for sure and can back them up.
1- Rutgers hired an outside Law firm that specializes in NCAA compliance issues.
2- No, that's the only thing we know about the investigation, everything else is speculation.

Now nothing wrong with speculation, that's what message boards are for, but some of you guys get nasty.

How are you sure what other people have been told?

The entire AD is in contact with high profile donors--for multiple reasons.

1. Raising money to move on Flood.

2. Making sure already pledged donations to the Hale Center upgrades are still going to come in.

3. Feeling out high ticket holder and donor sentiment for renewals.

Do you think for ONE SECOND that those people are not being told things? Do you think that coaching staffs at high powered high schools are not being told things? Do you think that people affiliated with the football program are not seeing the writing on the wall and putting feelers out?

Here's what you should know. You don't know what anybody else knows.

Every school has their own drug testing policy...there isn't one "one size fits all" policy put into place for all schools.
Let's put it this way...if we followed our own policies regarding testing in 2013, our season may have been a tad different.
To think Flood is innocent in all of this...come on now.
Um, not really. The NCAA determines the policy and the schools adopt it. Read the NCAA's rules in drug testing yourself. They likely mirror what was noted above. Now, the consequences for being found guilty might differ from school to school except when it comes to Championships--the conference and NCAA can overrule and has (Noah Spence OSU 2013 Orange Bowl)

You're wrong.
Specifically...

What is the penalty for failing a school-issued drug test?

Each NCAA member is responsible for determining whether to establish an institutional drug-testing program, at which time the school would be responsible for determining applicable penalties. If a testing program is established, though, the school is obligated to enforce the penalties. Failure to do so can lead to NCAA sanctions.

Sounds good but it's doubtful. The BOG will know before anybody else including donors. And HS coaches won't be told anything. I'm not an RU alum or fan but if RU AD is telling anybody anything before an investigation is complete and the BOG have come to decisions based in the investigation it is in worse than even you realize. That's just not how these things are done dude.

From the story I was told, after the findings of the initial report, Flood sealed his fate by lawyering up in August & threatening to take the whole university down. This forced the university to hire an independent investigator to look at the situation and determine how widespread the misconduct actually was. For example, the original investigation didn't hold Barnwell's paper to the proper plagiarism protocols. It also didn't investigate whether Flood signed any paperwork acknowledging he attended the compliance meetings he claimed he didn't attend. By threatening legal action, the university needs to determine how much corruption Flood has been involved with over the course of his years here.

The investigation isn't so much to save a few million bucks on salaries but to protect the University's reputation and accreditation. The accrediting agencies don't take to rumors of academic fraud and absent risk management protocols lightly.

He would have made better use of his time studying these two concept of the forward pass.

A. How to Defend it and
B. How to use it on offense.

Not to certify a dislike for Flood. To cement that this clown show gets on the road and we can rebuild. What has happened has happened. Would you want garbage swept under the carpet to save face for Rutgers? Sounds like a worse sort of fan to me.
Flood is most likely going to get fired no matter what is in the report. Someone mentioned yesterday that if there is anything negative in the report, the smartest thing that RU could do would be to not release the it until after a replacement for Flood is hired. People will naturally blame the old coach (right or wrong) and take the focus off RU and the new coaches. If you release it before the new hire, the attention on RU will make it hard to get a replacement.

That's not sweeping it under the rug. It's managing the news.

Not really, most schools have a drug testing policy as does RU according to what one of the posters posted. if any team goes to championships conference or national they will absolutely be tested. Schools do not want to take the risks so most have policies. My son went to NCAA's with a cold and I couldn't even advise him what to take for it because of banned substances in cold medicine. I don't disagree that school determines penalty just not for championships.

Will never happen. Jimmy Sexton would go public and make the RU job even more toxic than it is now, then Floods legal team would embarrass the administration and tie them up in court. If a change is made a quiet 'settlement ' will be made w Flood and staff getting the bulk of what's owed.
So Flood racks up perpetual losses for Rutgers. Figures.

Who said anything about when the BOG knew or didn't know?

Do you honestly think that the administration doesn't already know the results of the investigation, DUDE?

What are you talking about?
You said Rutgers doesn't set its own policy. I said it did, and provided you with proof.
Each school has its own policy.

2 things:

- the investigation could easily be regarding how the punishments were doled out; if they were done so according to our university policy and if done so equally.

- "lyndj" is good at doing searches on policies, and regulations, but has little understanding as to how NCAA athletics actually work behind closed doors.

If it's done, of course. My point really is that the school is not going to be talking to high school coaches, do you really believe that?

I didn't say "the school" is talking to anyone. I said, "you don't know what others are being told." People are being told things from a variety of sources. If you have access to various pieces of information and can sift through it, looking for consistencies and veracity of what people have told you before, you can draw logical conclusions.

This is all obviously a little too complex for you.

I realize that you are a "god" on this board so what you say must be true but I actually do understand about NCAA athletics in this current day. It's not hard to understand how it works behind closed doors. It's not rocket science. Yet, it was you who said that the "team" is in charge of testing and reporting it to the AD and I simply corrected you. I'm not here to argue, I just read inaccuracies about the process and chimed in based on my knowledge of the process.

You are like Jon Snow...You know nothing, as proven by your lack of knowledge about each institution having a different policy.

This is like the 5th time you mentioned Ron Jeremy today.
Relax. grab a tissue, your iPad, and have some fun.
I have fun plenty of other ways. Just wondering why a guy/woman who is so hung up on Flood's misdeeds has such a creepy avatar of a guy who not exactly a standard bearer of good behavior. But whatever makes you happy . . .

if it goes down, it will be to have leverage in reducing his buyout.

They'll present some of the evidence and say listen. we can all do this the hard way or how about you take 50% and we go our separate ways.

Well, thanks for the back-handed compliment, I guess.

Yes, you are correct in how things are reported, I've already acknowledged that much, but as far as how things "work," when it comes to donors, coaches, and how information is doled out, you seem to be very, let's say, "naive."

If I misread your post that the AD office was talking to coaching staffs at high schools, then I take back my comment about that.

Your remark about it being all too complex is just stupid, especially since your post is a bunch of cryptic speculation that you want people draw their own conclusions about. I don't have a dog in this here fight or any sort of vested interest so I don't plan on drawing conclusions on anything. I'm sitting here with the popcorn like everybody else.

Oh, I don't know. I think he knows that he doesn't know what he doesn't know. You know?

No, I'm no sure he knows that he doesn't know. And knowing what you don't know is one of the most important introspective qualities a guy can have, you know?
